Sorry for what is going to be a bit of a sad post, gang, but our beloved little cat, Spooky, passed away late Sunday night due to a sudden blood clot. We rushed him to an all night emergency pet hospital and they said it was basically inoperable and told us we needed to put him to sleep. His entire back half was paralyzed due to the clot and he was in terrible pain.

The rational part of my brain keeps saying that it was just a cat, it was just a cat, but the rest of my brain is wrecked. Spooky was part of the family, and was a wonderful friend. I can't believe he is gone.

This life is one wild ride, isn't it? :(

Aww, he was beautiful. And no, not silly at all. Cats are part of our families.

I am so so sorry. When pets come into our lives, they make us better. They are so giving and live joyful lives. Spooky will always live in your heart. The loss of a beloved pet touches all of us. As an animal lover, I am crying for you.

Such a beautiful cat and pets are so part of the family and should be grieved as well. I am so sorry for the loss of Spooky.

Sympathy like.
Deepest of condolences.
Know the feeling with all the large dogs we've had over the years.
They are such a joy, and so very much a part of our lives, and it's very heartbreaking to lose them.
Again, deepest condolences, Buddy.

My husband talks to our parakeets all day long. We have given up trying to give them fresh fruits and vegetables, they showed no interest at all. They do love the different varieties of bird seed, however, and my husband is rotating those. They take turns hopping around by the seed dish, and they love the treat stick that my husband put in the cage today. My husband is wondering if there are different varieties of parakeets. He says that Marty looks like a different type bird than Spin is. Time to google.

I'm so sorry. Not just a cat by any means, our little balls of fluff are part of our families. I feel your pain, been there several times. For me it generally takes 2 weeks before I can speak the words you have written without tearing up. Its hard, let yourself grieve.
