I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't care for the Despicable Me movies or the minions. I don't know, they just don't do anything for me, but I guess a lot of people love them considering how much money those movies make.

I don't care for those movies either. We had a reward day for the students and one of the rewards was a movie room, I was the supervisor for the movie room. The movie was one of those Despicable Me movies, and I thought it was tortuous to sit through. I just didn't understand those minions or get the point of the movie. But to each their own I guess.

I however, live in a neighborhood where the cops were called, and they couldn't do a darn thing to stop it.

I get that. There are so many bigger fishes to fry on the 4th weekend. Way to difficult to substantiate an arrest and even more difficult to identify the culprit, the need to have a warrant to gather evidence and likely something prosecutors won't follow through on. Guessing the Chiefs are putting their manpower into traffic control and DUI cases on the 4th.

I saw the first clothing displays for back to school yesterday. Not ready to even think about it, yet.

My DD and I shopped the entire summer for the just perfect things for her dorm room. She is an extreme organizer. The following year when she had a single dorm room we shopped even more.

My son on the other hand when he went off to his first college, I shopped for everything he needed without him in one day. He on the other hand shopped for the perfect TV and laptop. When he transferred to an Illinois University and got an apartment Ikea was my friend. He went down a few days before us and his roommate's parents hauled the stuff for us in their truck. Instructions to my son was do not consider opening any of the IKEA boxes until we get there. Dad and DD assembled everything. We knew he'd mess it up and loose the parts.

The last time we went to 'Ohana the wings weren't very good. The sauce on them was fine but the skin on the wings was flabby not crispy. In general our meal at 'Ohana wasn't very good so we haven't been back, and it had been a must do for us. Last week when hubby and I did our monorail lounge tour we stopped in at the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian and ordered the 'Ohana wings off the menu. The wings were a little more crispy but underseasoned, and the sauce is the best part. It didn't make us think that 'Ohana has improved that much. We wished we had ordered more food at Trader Sam's, but we finished at the Tambu and hopped on the monorail to Mizner's Lounge at the GF and had some great stuff there. And Gabe the wings are bone-in, I don't think they have a boneless option.

Thanks for the review! :inlove:

So, I got to take the tape strips off my finger today, and I decided the scar needs a more impressive story than "A knife jumped off the counter and attacked my pinky". So...what's more believable: Zombie shark or velociraptor?

Zombie shark velociraptor with a bow saw ? :cyclops:9 stitches and 25+ years later, and those two finger tips in the middle are still numb (nerve damage) with forever-altered fingerprints...! ;)

We started out tent camping. Really , it's not too bad. We lived in Kansas and drove to Colorado. Funny we are living in Co. now. Never expected to live here. I love the time in the great outdoors. We used to hike in the morning, go back and take a nap in the tent in the afternoon. So relaxing. I also loved cooking bacon and eggs in the early morning, over the campfire. It's amazing to sleep under the stars. Up in the Rockies you can see millions of them.

You just brought back so many awesome memories of my backpacking days!
I've slept out under the stars at 10,000+ feet before...at that altitude you understand why the Milkey Way is called the Milkey Way...! :)

Waiting for the magical express to take us back to the airport. :( Going home with some free souvenirs.... While walking down Main Street this morning we were taking it nice and easy. The crush of people had other ideas so I side stepped trying to get out of the way and my toe caught the edge of the sidewalk and down I went right near the confectionary. I was so embarrassed and it hurt so bad. I got up and kept walking, but I have some scrapes on one leg and a skinned right knee. So free souvenirs, ouchies.

It could've been worse. And I was able to shake it off after asking on big thunder, but it still aches. I'm just glad I didn't break anything! I joked with hubby later that I should have said something to a cast member and maybe we would have gotten some extra fast passes!:)

Oh my.
Hahaaa...! about the fast passes...!!! :hilarious:
Sorry, still so far behind. Hope you are OK by now...?! :)

When I was in college I had a problem...I had both Guitar and piano. The guitar teacher told us we had to grow out our nails. Piano teacher said we had to cut them. I'm so glad I am out of school now and don't have conflicting demands to worry about...at least not with musical instruments!

Interesting what people wig about. I always had long nails, still are generally except during spring gardening. I played both guitar and piano as did my DD. Of all the weirdo things music instructors said to me and then my DD never was finger nails a thing. I played guitar first and I never had an issue with clicking of my nails, likely how I positioned my fingers. It may have been a unconscious effort, who knows cause I hate that tapping sound some do with nails.

Half of my zoo slept at a friend's house. The other is just getting up!

I was always fine with my DS sleeping in during breaks and vacations. He like me runs nocturnal. But I generally am up early. I have energy to get things done first thing in morning and generally accomplish a lot. So when he was sleeping in I got lots accomplished. Win!
