Yes, enjoy. They also have good ice cream, connected right alongside it (think it's called Fountain Ice Cream--a walk up counter for take-out). But if you're over in the Dolphin/Swan area, you might want to walk over to the Boardwalk and try that new Ample Hills Creamery place. Yup, a bit pricey (although I don't think outrageous for the area), but you could brag to your pals that you went there to the newest ice cream joint on the Boardwalk! Or, if you prefer, you could also take the Friendship Board over to the Yacht & Beach Club, and go to Beaches and Cream for ice cream--it's always been very highly rated.

Not entirely correct, they do use pasta as sides often, but, they also have a wide variety of pasta based main meals as well. And they were gooooooooood!

Yeah, I'm a 20 year old college student who still lives and travels with her parents. I actually turned 20 the day we got on the cruise ship and I got an extra dessert at dinnertime and had some of the staff sing to me (although I'm not the type that likes the attention). My parents were getting a bit tired of going to WDW after last year's trip (and honestly, I was too a little. I think we'll probably go again when Star Wars Land opens). They were pretty much okay with going anywhere but there this year.

I have been outside the States twice before this trip, Belize and Mexico, which were also really fun trips. I'm taking my third semester of Spanish this fall, though I definitely wouldn't call myself a fluent speaker yet.

We had the best time in Mexico, Cozumel. A mariachi band sang to us, and I had the best margarita ever. That country is so beautiful, and the people are wonderful. We met so many nice people, we just took off walking out of the beaten path, and had a great time. Some people said it wouldn't be safe, but we encountered no problems at all. I love the color and artistry of the country.

Congrats to her. Grandson hit 13 in March, that's a big milestone. Grandson is taller than me, and his voice has gotten so low, I can hardly hear him. He is in my silent zone. He is very thoughtful and kind, he knows I can't hear well, and speaks to me on my good side. I'm afraid tinnitus is taking my hearing on my good side. I may need to write really fast, or learn sign language, I know the sign alphabet. I taught my self along with D.D. out of an old Dictionary I have. But, that's way to slow. I think I like the new way of speaking in sign, I may need to go to school for that. I'm checking if the community college has a low cost sign class, hubby and I can go, and we won't live in a silent world!

Good for you, Bets. Just so you know, my hubby has taken a number of ASL (American Sign Language) classes, and in addition, he also meets socially, with a hearing-impaired group each week. (The group includes people who have been deaf for most of their lives; so they communicate slower with him, knowing that he's still in the learning phase. They really help him, and they love the fact that he's putting the energy into learning their language.) He said it takes quite a while to pick up the language, and lots of practice. He enjoys learning it, but thinks (after studying it for 2 years), that it will take him another 2-3 years to really become proficient in it, which is his goal. I think it would be wonderful for you to try and learn ASL.

We encountered one of those, there was a sign that said "Don't pet", as he bites. No problem. I'm not going near a lizard that size. I have trouble with the lizard's at Disney. Welcome aboard this thread. I hope you decide to stay for awhile.

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately when I've bought ice cream there (rather often . . . ) I didn't even look to see if there were some non-dairy options such a coconut ice cream, etc. However, with so many other ice cream venues all over WDW, I imagine they must also offer other alternatives now, with so many people having allergies. I hope you find a nice cold treat for you and your son at one of the other venues.

Beaches and Cream has really good food too. And I'm saying that from a non ice cream perspective because, thanks to the fact that they use the same scooper in the strawberry ice cream as the vanilla, I cannot eat their ice cream.

SciFi has also improved in quality over the past few years if you wanted to try that.

Thank you, I want to learn before I lose my hearing entirely, my grandmother and aunt went deaf, and they became very depressed. I don't want to follow that route. I do like that I have my friends on here , as I take my journey through life. You all have been so nice, it's one of my best places to visit!

Thank you for all the great information. I'm glad you loved the cruising part, I love a cruise too! Doing a 7 day in October. The price is now cheaper than last cruise, we were given 100.00$ on board credit.

They have tofutti or rice dream. I can't do tofu, and had the rice dream, by itself it wouldn't be great, but with peanut butter and hershey's it was just about perfect. Next time I'm asking for more Hershey's. Gotta love that no fat chocolate, and no dairy.

I want to go EVERYWHERE in Italy. I read The Agony and the Ecstasy, which is about the life and works of Michelangelo, and ever since then I've wanted to go to Florence. I want to see the Medici palace, I want to see the cathedral and see The David. But then DD went to see the Violetta movie and it was filmed in Italy and WOW...I want to see those places too. I scoured the internet one night looking for where they filmed. Taormina and Scopello in Sicily. But I also want to see Rome, and the Vatican. So much that I want to see.

My mother is like that as well. She has #1 priority to go to Italy next year.

Thank you and we've never had a problem finding goodies. I love Babycakes, many places have dairy free sorbet and popcorn is one of my favorite goodies at Disney. Which is weird because I hardly ever eat popcorn at home. I'm also a big fan of the adult slushes.
