Congrats to her. Grandson hit 13 in March, that's a big milestone. Grandson is taller than me, and his voice has gotten so low, I can hardly hear him. He is in my silent zone. ;) He is very thoughtful and kind, he knows I can't hear well, and speaks to me on my good side. I'm afraid tinnitus is taking my hearing on my good side. I may need to write really fast, or learn sign language, I know the sign alphabet. I taught my self along with D.D. out of an old Dictionary I have. But, that's way to slow. I think I like the new way of speaking in sign, I may need to go to school for that. I'm checking if the community college has a low cost sign class, hubby and I can go, and we won't live in a silent world! ;)
She has been taller than me for at least 6 months, now. And she loves to rub it in. Stinker.

I would love to cruise there and back. But, it's very expensive. But, the 50'th is a once in a lifetime event. I hope someone with a lot of money dies before I do! And leaves it to me!;););):oops::rolleyes:
Look for relocation cruises. That's what I took coming back to the states. The ship was relocating to the Caribbean from Europe and filled the ship up with one way travelers like myself. It's usually a really good deal.

Yummy, our Chili's is not so good anymore. I miss how they used to be. It's been a few month's since we have gone there. I'm going to put it back on the list again. Father's day is coming up and the boy's usually pick Long Horn. It's good too!

You'd think 'cause we're from Texas we'd have been to Longhorn before, but, we haven't...!!! :hilarious:
We've never had a bad meal at our local Chili's, and always top notch service. :)

My doctor was the founder of that, but it goes into your skull right? I'm allergic to metals, including surgical steel. I wonder if they have moved to plastic. Not sure about that, Disney's magic bands, no matter how large I make them causes a rash and itching after a day. Now I just carry it in my pocket.
The device is enclosed in silicon and is made mostly with platinum, not surgical steel as far I know.
Its tied to the skull by a very strong glue.
You'd have to ask your doctor and see the latests technologies.

I'm actually thinking on doing the same. Not exactly a fan of taking a super long plane ship, specially with my leg problems.

I also love cool air breezes coming through the windows. We have 2 window a/c units (one in livingroom, and one in bedroom), and I hate blocking off the windows. (At one point years ago, the landlord offered to put in central a/c, but I said no. We don't need to have a/c in the entire place. Plus we're out a lot, so we don't want to be paying more on our electric bill for a central cooling system.) In your case, however, you're off work for the summer, and in the house more often than we are, so I can see where central may make more sense.

Anyway, those window units we have are definitely necessary for a/c, especially in the bedroom at night for sleeping. Still, I'm always happy in the fall when we can take out these things and open up the windows again. :cat:

I'm sorry, but, this still kinda' blows me away...every single home down here has central heat and air. When it's cold, we turn on the heat, when it's hot, we turn on the aircon. :cyclops:

Place: Phil's house

At rise: The TV is on and Wheel of Fortune is playing as Phil and Buddy get ready to go out to dinner. One of the prizes on Wheel of Fortine is an all expense paid trip to Orlando, with a stay at the Orlando Hilton.

Buddy: Why can't I go to the Orlando Hilton???

Phil: because you're never going to Orlando again!!!

And, scene.

:jawdrop::arghh::cry: :grumpy:Poor Buddy! I think maybe you should start planning that solo trip. I don't think Phil is going to give in on the Disney thing.

I think if someone said that to me, SO or not, I would have a few choice words for that person...

Sympathy like! Time to take him to the 5 for 10 shot place and record him saying he'll go to Disney and make sure to record it!
