Would anyone be interested in a post a pic Fridays. You don't have to show your face or family. Just a fun picture or amazing picture for Friday's. I have some pictures from different vacations, or area's I've lived at. I don't have too many, we lost everything in the flood in Kansas City. But, we have one box, of pictures from the past. We salvaged them during the flood. I would love to see what everyone finds special or exciting or what ever, love those food photo's. Could be a fun way to share something from each of us. If this is a bad idea, PM me. Just a thought.

they are pretty much destroying what was special. I mean, I would surely pay that much money for the poly, just to get blocked views or null lake access thanks to the new pizza huts.

That sounds so nice. Now I wish I had gone into the Basin (at Disney Springs) when I was down there. Actually, the only souvenirs I bought this time were three different sets of decorative chop sticks from the Mitsukoshi Dept. Store at the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT. My hubby loves using chopsticks; he even uses them for cooking utensils, such as stirring liquids in pots on the stove, etc.

Speaking of Disney Springs (the new Landing), which just opened on Sunday --

Went down there Monday afternoon for a while. Because it was a new area, I was curious to check it out. It's always interesting to see something new. Well, IMO, that's about it. There's a bunch of new stores and nice-looking buildings housing them, but it's all trendy retailers--Alex and Ani, Sephora, Under Armour, Pandora, Sunglass Hut, and so on. Basically, go to any big city mall and you'll find all the same (boring) stores that are now down at the "new" Disney Springs.

The Marketplace area still maintains some of the older charm and Disney-inspired shops. Have to say, I prefer the Marketplace over Disney Springs. But for people who love to shop and enjoy all the latest trendy things, they'd probably love Disney Springs. Also, the new parking garages down at that end are really large, so they're definitely bringing in customers for the stores and restaurants.

I'm glad you had a great time in Disney Springs. Your thoughts of the pretty mall were the same as mine. At last count 3 high end purse stores. I know this was all planned out when the economies of South America and Europe were in better shape, the overall demographic that this was aimed at as most larger urban areas in the states have all these offerings. I do wonder about their sustainability with everything being so very high end from pastry to shoes. I will go, I will shop, but likely window shopping as a Disney vacation to me is rather high end to start with. That or peeps are going to be chip'n that credit card even more. Time will tell.

So happy to hear the 'ole Market Place still has its appeal because it isn't likely I'm going to drop the funds to ride a car in the water anytime soon.

I couldn't get out of the World of Disney fast enough. Everything is changed around by character and way too many people and this is with the majority of stores open. The Landing is nice. Too white though and too expensive. Place is wicked big. We are here because of having dinner in the best restaurant in all of Disney, Raglan Road. Just another mall.

But a very pretty mall. Raglan is still one of my DS favorites, good times had.

I'm interested to hear about the World of Disney details? Thoughts? @MinnieM123 ?

@figmentfan423 , I was trying to quote one of your threads from days ago about buses (but somehow the quote thing wasn't working), and just wanted to say that the bus service was excellent at WDW during the past few days when I was there.

Thank you I think I've got our plan down to only using buses one day Speaking of buses tomorrow I'm taking my boys with me shopping and we'll ride a bus for practice, I figure a 20 minute ride each way should be good practice

Amateur! I've been over 100 pages behind before...!

I'm not even going to try and play ketchup when I get home from vacation, I'm going to write a TR and my dh said maybe he'll even let me take a few food pics. He can't sop me from taking a drink pick or 6

The smallest plane I've ever flown in was a 10 passenger twin turboprop. On the return trip I got to fly in the copilot seat. It was a total hoot!
The smallest aircraft I've ever flown in was a small, 2-seat helicopter (with the doors off) for an hour-long ride over the Austin area, that was also a hoot! I just love flyin'...!!!

You and me both. 100 for a car ride no way. I'm sure I'll walk around DS but I'm not planning on doing any shopping, the marketplace on the other hand may be a bit dangerous to my wallet (Basin) WOD changing to areas by character is something I'm not sure I'm going to like. I always get a snow globe for my younger ds and I liked when they were all together, same for the jewelry. Just made it easier to shop. Thinking about it there may be an upside less shopping

Oh my! I LOVE me a good roller coaster...!!!

Speaking of roller coasters, every year I go down to WDW I pick a "new" favorite one. (I can be very fickle, you know. ) So this week, I went on Space, BTMRR, Everest, and RNR Coaster. My new favorite for 2016 is (drum roll . . .) Expedition Everest!!
