Too bad you can't get it out. I have a front loader and love it. They're easier to work on than top loaders. Everything is easy to get to. Just like classic cars or so I've been told. I'm totally helpless or at least that's what I tell my dh.
I don't like the front loader...it was so much handier to have the top loader so while it was filling, if I found a sock under someone's bed, or whatever, I could just add it. Or if it started making a weird noise in the spin cycle, I could go redistribute the stuff inside so the weight was even everywhere. I can't do that with the front loader. Plus, I don't have to bend over so far with a top loader. My front loader is too low to the ground. I miss having a top loader, but they don't make them like that here.

So sorry. My washer is on a platform so we don't have to bend and I can stop it to add things if need be. I had a top/ bottom set up once and didn't like it and it had a top loader.

I thought of you when I saw the mansion fire on tv news. Figured you'd know which one it was. I was relieved that it wasn't one of the more popular/historical mansions (open to the public for tours) that I'm more familiar with up on Bellevue Avenue, and other street locations in the (Gilded Age) district of Newport. Lot of unanswered questions about that fire; the mansion was undergoing a huge renovation at the time. o_O

They don't know the cause but I'm assuming construction. You really couldn't see the mansion from Bellevue (trees in the way) so I really never saw it or I did and I was so used to being around mansions, I didn't remember it.

I first saw the news on the TV at the gym and when they said JFK, I immediately thought of Hammersmith Farm but then they said Bellevue so it wasn't.
