That's one ride that I think WDW's version is far superior.Going on Splash for the 4th time in a row.![]()
At least there's an actual backstory to these guys.
"The Spectromen are keepers of light. They hold the parades magical light and transform it for you in the midst of the night. They come from a land called Light Spriation where everything is filled with rays of light and magical bursts of color. They were always afraid to come out of hiding and share their magical light, until one day, Mickey, the Spectromen King, asked if they would join him in a nighttime festival of magic and light, and come and bring the magical light for everyone to see. Scared to confront people, they hesitated. After much consideration, the Spectro Men agreed. They brought along their magical Spectro Balls and Light-Trumpets to spread the joy of their magical light to everyone. Mickey controls the light they magically create and powers the parade through his Electro-ball, changing it from night to day, or crystal to multi-color."
@catmom46 Does Disneyland have in-park Wifi or should I invest in a data plan?
I hope she really does call.
I tried to eat my cereal with a fork recently.Went to the grocery store today. Half the parking lot was still covered in snow. The store was obviously short-staffed. There were absolutely no kinds of fruit on sale. There were no bananas. There were no 18- count packs of eggs. The store-brand frozen broccolli was out. Amazingly, there was milk.
Also, am thinking I am a bit tired as I put the eggs in the freezer...![]()
I always enjoyed seeing how energetic they were in the parade. This is great. I always thought they were really fun, and very cool characters; I like them even more now that I know they were the keepers of light. Gosh, I miss Spectro; it was outstanding, (even if @Goofyernmost didn't think so.![]()

Have you been to the campfire movie? We went once on a non-park day and saw Hocus Pocus. He even gained his own book series called "Disney Bunnies".
Speaking of bunnies and Disney, I remember thinking about the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground at WDW and how fitting it would be if Thumper and Miss Bunny were able to meet guests at the resort. Mainly during the Chip N Dale Campfire Sing Along or during the Spring and Summer seasons (Especially during the month of Easter). Which will give visitors an easier way to find the two when they aren't at AK during certain days.
Thanks!
Looks like I may need to look for a new docs office. Called them this morning and was told they were short-staffed this week, but, was told the MA would call me back shortly...never heard back. Called them again at 3 (they close at 3:30) this afternoon and was told the MA would call me back in 15 min.
At about 3:45 I finally just decided to find the labs # and call them. They referred me to their main local office. The guy I talked to said they faxed the results to the docs office at noon. He couldn't tell me if they had been faxed before today, for some reason. Not amused about all this...
Anyway, about 4p I finally got a call from the MA.Uric acid was in the high normal range, and that was DURING an attack.
So now, They want me to follow up with more blood work.
And, we go on.....
I love all the Bob Newhart shows, and still do!![]()
I never got a chance to stay at the Fort Wilderness Resort during my past three trips.Have you been to the campfire movie? We went once on a non-park day and saw Hocus Pocus.
I loved SpectroMagic but I'm not a MSEP fan.If WDW ever gets a new electrical parade for the 50th in a few years. While also curious I'm also very worried seeing what the next WDW exclusive parade will be. Spectromagic is one of those parades along with Dreamlights in terms of nighttime parades which I consider a "Tough Act To Follow" because of how much effort was put in the floats and the soundtrack.
Love Spectro or not, I really miss the Spectromen at the start of the parade due to how entreating and fun they would have. They are also very misunderstood since the majority of visitors find them creepy and bizarre Disney characters. I used to get creeped out by them until I learned about there backstory to the parade according to one Disney website I stumbled upon last year. While I do enjoy PTN, I hope WDW won't get a parade like PTN filled with pop music. Heck Spectromagic and Wishes always felt perfect together since Jiminy hosted both of them but now that Spectro is gone. Wishes doesn't have much of an impact as it did when Spectromagic was still in WDW. I'm no complaining, but I hope WDW get's something extra special for the 50th.

Ugh, how frustrating. You went in last Friday right, and you have to basically beg and pester them for the results on Wednesday?! That isn't right. Good luck. I hope you are feeling better at least.
Maybe they all forgot to bring their death certificates...?![]()
