I never once had detention in school. :angelic:
I did have a few "Skateboarder", "Hot Rod", and "Car Craft" magazines taken up German class, though. :D ;) :)

I also was detention-free in school. :angelic:

I think the most "trouble" I ever got in school was because I (and a few other students in my class) decided not to take the AP test and our teacher was so upset with us we had to speak with the Dean because he treated us so shabbily.

No reading glasses for me either! I just lower my head and look above my regular glasses when reading up close. :cat:

My blink reflex is a force to be reckoned with! :hilarious:
I'll bet mine was as bad as yours is now. I put off getting contacts for many years just because of that. Then I decided that I wanted to just see things without the aid of window in front of me, go out in the rain and not have to clean my glasses off plus I wanted to wear nifty sunglasses so I could look as cool as I truly am anyway.

You still haven't told me why you wouldn't get Bi-focals. It would look a lot less silly then looking over the top of your glasses to read.

I guess I don't have a good reason other than I associate them with being old. I can handle looking silly. :p

With the no line no one has to know. It is invisible and denial will not make your eyesight better nor make you any younger. Do yourself a favor because eventually everyone will notice that your are older because they see you looking silly. ;):joyfull:

Currier and Ives...my mom had a bunch. My brother begged for them when she passed because he said he liked to have dinner parties but didn't have any nice dishes and I had gotten a set of nice dishes from my aunt when I got married. So I agreed even though I really wanted them myself, and the next week when I went to the flea market I found all the Crystal, silver, and currier and Ives dishes, along with my mom's antique Singer sewing machine there. He just wanted the money and knew I'd never agree if I knew he was going to sell it. Breaks my heart because those were the dishes we used my whole childhood for ever special occassion.

Oh my that was underhanded, he could have at least sold them to you.

That television wasn't built it in was a portable that ran off the cigarette lighter. Now that I think about it maybe it was a little fancy. More like something to keep kids quiet on long road trips. As far as car radios go I had FM before my parents. That's something they never sprung for. I changed out the radio in my first car, I wanted music.

Oh yes, I knew it was one that probably plugged into the lighter, or ran on batteries, or both. We knew some folks that had those. Pretty sure only James Bond had a built-in TV back then. ;)

And, same here. Right after I bought my first car, a '71 Cutlass Supreme, I installed a new AM/FM stereo with a cassette deck and 2 biga$$ speakers in the package tray...!!! :joyfull:
