florida was 7 C a few days ago.

Speaking of stuff..
It was 3C at Dallas when we passed on. And was supposed to get -6C by night. thank god our flight didnt get delayed! XD

I'd take it, 5 fahrenheit here, what -15 celsius. Heat wave by comparison. And so far no snow or ice to contend with either.

I don't miss the days when I lived in my own apartment and had to chisel my car. We only have a one car garage now, but hubby has a remote starter on his car so he can warm it up and get most of the stuff off or at least loose before he goes out. Actually he just got a new car (a Cruze) and he can start his car with an app on his phone.

By the way, we are currently at -6, and it is supposed to get to be about -11 tonight. Have I mentioned how much I love my electric blanket?

Brrrrrr. Worse than us. The winds are so strong too. My bed is the warmest place in the house. Most nights this memory foam beneath the pillow top just absorbs too much heat. Tonight it is just right. After chiseling that car I just couldn't get warm. I needed soup.

Do they also deliver/install? And offer extended warranties?

I'm hard pressed to think of any place that doesn't offer extended warranties these days on just about everything. Even Sam's Club and Costco

So I am currently in the market to replace all the furniture and appliances that Mr. Donkey is taking with him. I've figured out most of what I want, but need to do research on the refrigerator and washer/dryer. Is GE still a good brand? When I look on the Sears website, they still get lots of positive reviews.

I think GE is the only brand along with LG that still maintain quality and durability.
Whirpool as gone to carp recently.. expensive, flashy.. very inefficient.. and break way too easily.

If you visit the states for other than Disney try a Hampton Inn for a night. You won't be making that face at me after one night with their original pillows from Pacific. anything above 25$ for a pillow is insane for me. :O
my old trusty pillow did cost like 15 USD.

Working overseas but its impossible. You can get a visa but working in the country is the tough part. It would be easier if I was from Africa or the Middle East.

I'm confused, are you wanting to work INSIDE the USA? or outside?

Do the extended guarantees are for Sears?

speaking of extended guarantees..
There was a report in NBC when I was at Universal.
Talking about scandals of these forced and pushy "extended" guarantees on cars and other stuff.
Most of the times they were bait and switch on the cars... They even called it "American branded guaranteed Greed" or something.

Bought another Stitch shirt today - this time from Hot Topic. DD got a My Little Pony Princess Luna plush toy.

go figure.. I also bought a Stitch shirt while at WDW. I found one model that never seen anywhere else (It was being sold inside the circus tent area, near the dueling dumbos) It was a Stitch shirt with many faces (cool face, hungry face, bossy face, nerdy face, crazy crazy, gamer)
love it so much.
But they had no adult size! the kids XXL size barely fits me lol.

It is all perspective to me to what I will pay more for. Generally I will pay ridiculous amounts of money for a night in a hotel room at WDW. It is insane for the amount of time I spend in the room. Still I do it. I have a line I draw in the sand for what I will pay for one meal at WDW. Sleep to me is coveted and I have issues with both arthritis and falling asleep in general. If a good pillow that lasts me 5 years it is worth the few cents a day. My mattress is equally important. If I tally all the hours I spend asleep over the 8 years for a mattress it is worth it to me. But some can fall asleep with any 'ole pillow and sleep just fine on a cheap mattress and wake up refreshed and pain free.

I have both a Kenmore A/C Unit and Furnace in this house. Old. Very dependable, knock on wood....Sears was tops and you could always get parts. More their offshoot that now handles repairs on warranties and their delivery scheduling stinks around here. For a built in oven they missed 3 deliveries, truck broke, driver was ill, dropped appliance. Come to find out it was really out of stock and tried to get me to upgrade to a more expensive model. I canceled the order, done. Took a long time to get that charge off my Sears Card. I actually find their stores to be very reasonable and some good quality stuff to purchase on the spot. I found two very nice chrome padded/back and seat bar stools for my DD apartment with adjustable height. 2 for $98.00 They were delivered in 2 days. It is just the appliance department that seems to have tanked for me anyhow. We have an amazing appliance store in Northern IL that delivers everywhere, my folks ordered from them since I was a kid and they were in a tiny store front. Their customer service rocks. Amazing new digs.

60's seem like heaven this week! Last week in California it seemed really cold. Now that I'm back in Wisconsin I am reminded of what cold is....woke up to -11 today with a real feel temperature of -27. My doggie did her business really fast outside this morning!

Sympathy like. I must heve gotten on @MinnieM123's good side because she seems to be sending her extra warmth south

THNX and I did 37% off at the grocery store. That not exactly easy considering what I buy. I also found heirloom tomatoes. Super yummy, hot house but you couldn't really tell

Me too there is something about the tang, I just love. Add some ham and mustard...I'm good to go.

That was the hard one to give up! I make my own and let it ferment for a while, before baking. Rye toast, lettuce, tomato, and a bit of avacado spread on it Now back to my now healthy gut LOL
