I will really miss meeting up with you guys but by going in August we can almost double the duration of our trip. My dh refuses to even be near there over 4th of July

The 4th is crazy crowded, it is nasty humid and tempers seem to get the best of lots of people. We'd go to the parks in the morning return and swim or do something else and go back to the parks in the evening. We found the crowds disappeared by evening. Everyone who was in the park especially with kids went back to their rooms. It just isn't the greatest weekend for a family vacation. One year we did a week in July 4th loop and spent a great deal of time in the pool during the day and late late at night after the parks closed. The water at AKL was really warm.

Is alimony a permanent thing in IL? Here "spousal support" (not called alimony anymore) 1 year is awarded for every 4 years of marriage. It's only permanent if the marriage lasted 20+ years.

In California, if you're married for 10 years or more, then technically support can be ordered indefinitely, but it really depends on the circumstances. The goal is to always try to get the spouse who wasn't working back into the work force eventually, at least once the kids become adults. That's why I don't see Mr. Donkey getting his way, especially since he's technically been "working" throughout out entire marriage, even after our daughter was born. He could totally make more money, he just chooses not to, and the state doesn't like that.

Last night we had snow, then slush snow and then more snow. I cleaned up the first two rounds but by the time the 3rd round came I was in my Jammies and had enough.

This morning I get a call from my DD. She can't get either door of her car open. I pick her up, take her to work and will go back and fetch her in a couple of hours. After I dropped her I went to her apartment with a snow brush and cleaned the top layer off and then could see the slush had sealed the crack completely between the car door and body frame. The wipers were even worse. For 30 or so minutes I lightly chiseled away with my plastic scraper and finally got the door to unseal but not open. I hit the door with my hip to close hard and then it opened. Boo-ya!!! Turned the car on, both defrosters on high. Started on passenger door eventually getting it open and one of the two rear doors. No such luck with trunk or door number 4. I went up to her apartment to thaw out and watched her running car from her desk, didn't close the door just close since it was still running, that is all I'd need. Went back down in 20 minutes got wipers really going and scraped all the windows and cleaned off the car. Till she got her apartment her car always lived in the garage with mine.
So freak'n cold.

I still am cold and keep pushing up the thermostat. Currently it is 8 degrees. FLORIDA FLORIDA FLORIDA

I don't miss the days when I lived in my own apartment and had to chisel my car. We only have a one car garage now, but hubby has a remote starter on his car so he can warm it up and get most of the stuff off or at least loose before he goes out. Actually he just got a new car (a Cruze) and he can start his car with an app on his phone.

By the way, we are currently at -6, and it is supposed to get to be about -11 tonight. Have I mentioned how much I love my electric blanket?

Sorry about your injury's". You must be made of sturdy stuff...still going...Hope you heal quickly.
All I can say is here I am almost 68 years old, overweight and I just finished walking all over Europe. Believe me, it made any time I have spent at WDW seem like a casual stroll. No blisters, no muscle pain. I did at one point tell my sister that this experience was either going to fix whatever problem I have with my leg or make me a cripple. So far... all is good.

BTW, my eye problem has seemed to resolve and I am done with this experience, at least for now. If I get any type of positive news about the cancer thing, I will be scheduling the other eye as soon as possible. I didn't think it would ever clear up, but, it has and I can see well now and don't need glasses for anything other then reading and even that has improved.

Who knows. Nobody has won I think since November and they changed the game in October increasing the number of white balls up to 69 now.
They did the same in our "power ball" like lottery 2 years ago.
You now have less than 55 million to 1 opportunities to win.
Way harder to win and more money for them.
The biggest lotto was 800 million pesos, around 70 million USD in the older currency rate.

I'm confused. your pillows usually take THAT much of space? o_O

We are talking carry on and my pillow for my bed would like take the entire carry on bag. 20 x 26" is standard - jumbo standard (fat) is 20x28" That would certainly be all I could stuff into the carry on and still a chunk of my checked luggage. Before the regulations for carry on changed I'd take my backpack vs a purse under seat and my carry on suitcase for overhead storage then just carry the pillow freely in my arms. Now they care so even if it wasn't my fear of bedbugs I likely would not take it anyhow.

Hooray! And hopefully positive news on the c word. OK, that didn't sound right. :p
