Robert Irvine works on my last nerve. I'm not a fan of his blunt as it is scripted to be demeaning. We all say things here and there that could have been crafted to be direct but nicer but generally it is off the cuff. Script is just that, meditated nasty. I find his bluntness more important to ratings than to being a concerned with the people he has decided to help. How they ever overcome and recover from what he exposes publically is beyond me.
Giadia de Laurentis, gets on my nerves. Her smile seems so fake, along with a couple other things.;) Did I just say that?:jawdrop::joyfull:

Happy pot luck Friday. Yep today's the day all the guys my dh works with have to bring in a healthier version of whatever they bring in and they have to make it themselves. My dh made his coleslaw last night and he only bothered me 10 or 12 times about how to do it.:cautious: It would have been faster and easier just to have done it myself:banghead::banghead::banghead: I'm armed with antacid, pepto, and other assorted tummy meds. LOL BTW my dining room is a disaster:eek::eek::eek::eek: Have a great day and has anybody heard from @MR FERRET?
No, I haven't heard anything. I'm really getting worried.:angelic:

Good Friday morning to you all. Does anyone have any big weekend plans? I'm going to finish up Santa's shopping this afternoon when I'm done at the office. Then we are all going to go to a craft show this evening. Looking forward to it. Tomorrow should be a more relaxed day. One of the kids has a birthday party to attend but that's about it. Might go to the Farmer's Market in the morning and then just hang out.

TGIF!
Hubby and I are going out to eat with the kids and grandkids. Then starting our Christmas shopping. Buying cards to send. I'm hoping to get inspired about Christmas. It's coming faster than I want. Maybe it's because advertising for Christmas started so early this year.

You'd be hard pressed to find a television show that doesn't do what it does to get ratings, though. We all have different tastes when it comes to entertainment. That's why there's such a variety of shows.

That is so true. Thankfully though the overwhelming majority don't capitalize on ratings at the expense of others misfortunes. I put him in the same categories as Dr. Phil, Judge Judy and Maury Povich type of 'helping people.'

My opinion of those who promote themselves and do real good in helping people are folks like, Sam Simon, Jerry Seinfeld, Meryl Streep, Jami Gertz, Mel Gibson and George Lucas type of people who help themselves professionally all the while helping others. They help people without parading them before cameras and calling them out for their hardships or poor judgement.
