Gods, that guy reminds me of many CEOs. Specially the former NESTLE CEO who claimed that water should not be a right.

I tried to sing this for Phil yesterday and he almost sent me to the mental institution.

Maybe it wasn't so much you singing, but the white dress and tiara you were wearing, plus waving that wand around at him.

Awww, thanks. So this chit chat thread is perplexing me a little bit (and yes, I just used "perplexing" in a sentence, whatever that means). So, do people kind of just come on here and just post whatever is on their mind? Like a stream of consciousness type thing? This seems like a very friendly place. Unlike the whale thread on the Sea World board. Or any tipping thread ever. Or the fix WDW thread. Or Katiebug101's Unmagical Day in the Magic Kingdom. This seems like sort of a safe haven.

Yes, that's exactly it! And exactly the reason how I ended up here, along with some of the others. I could not take all the negativity on the other threads, so I stalked, I mean followed @sxeensweet here one day, and never left! So glad I found these wonderful people, as they've kept me on the sane side these last 5 months.

This is why I make my own coffee - I just can't get over the prices!!

Actually a regular cup of coffee isn't all that bad at Starbucks. $1.85 here, not very different than most places. $1.49 McDonalds, $1.89 Dunkin Donuts. It is when you start buying their speciality coffees and it becomes yikes! Still none of them are as cheap as home but what is.

Yeah, I can't justify even $2 when it only costs about 25 cents to make at home!

Yep. But if I did the price differential between at home and going out for anything I'd never be able to treat myself to anything including coffee. Still I make a pot of coffee everyday at home (Dunkin Donuts) and save my Starbucks as a treat.

DWifey is the one that sleeps like a ton of lead bricks these days. I just seem to need the TV to wind down at the end of the day. Usually watching The Golden Girls on Hallmark (but, now all of DWifey's Christmas movies are on for the next coupla' months ). It seems to help me relax and get to sleep, and we are used to each other after all these years.

I've watched TV in bed for years. It also helps me unwind too but it also distracts my brain from going off into thoughts of the day. I can turn on Friends or Gilmore Girls and think of nothing else. I usually wake up to Sponge Bob and flip over to the news.
