I think this is a good general rule. Toy Story might be the exception for me. I thought the sequels were great. But most sequels just put a tarnish on the original movie. Too risky.

The 3rd Toy Story was my least favorite. While it was a sweet way to "end" the story, I didn't find it necessary. Although I really enjoyed the opening scene and the new characters. :cat:

I was just at 3 pounds, at that time 1948 , it was considered very small. I was large in my length. I stayed in the hospital for six weeks.... no eye protection, at that time, so , now I have macular degeneration. I'm so glad that babies, today have the knowledge of past medicine. It wasn't critical to cover babies eyes, today we know better. I'm so glad that medicine is advancing. Mom was also a premie, and she had glaucoma , she had little vision when she passed. I'm glad I live in Colorado, a very good medicine for glaucoma is marihuana. I don't have this.....but I'm glad it's out there for those who need it. Sadly, Mom thought it was evil and wouldn't take it.

Yep, 3 lbs. is still tiny these days, although nothing like 1 lb. 4 oz.. Sadly, there were many tiny souls that were about that size that didn't make it out of the NICU alive when we were there. It was always so heart-wrenching when they had to clear the bays because one became an angel.
Sorry to hear about your macular degeneration. At about 3 mos., DS had to have surgery for premature retinopathy.
A specialist came up from Houston to do the surgery. Saved his eyesight.
My MIL has glaucoma, and has pretty much lost sight in one of her eyes. But, that is mainly because she didn't follow up like she should have.
DWifey gets regular testings as the fluid pressure in her eyes tends to run a bit high. No meds yet, though.
If you keep it closely monitored, it can be controlled way better.

So, on the early morning news today, I heard about the big brooha over these cups, of all things. Heck, they're still red and green, and those are Christmas colors to me. I don't understand the big stink about no Christmas trees or whatever on them. Starbucks is a modern, edgy company, and I don't expect them to have Currier and Ives drawings of sleigh rides and Christmas wreaths on cottage doors, on their cups. The colors are fine with me for the Christmas season.

It was a hoot watching so many get so bent and protesting a paper cup. I had not been to Starbucks since the Christmas cups so the first I knew was the protests. Me, I love whimsy. The attention to details. But that isn't just for Starbucks I also prefered Disney stuff when it is whimsical. Just how I roll. I'll drink my salted caramel hot cocoa in any 'ole color cup. Yum.

Maybe this little song will cheer you up; let's sing it together:

Frosty the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal

Frosty the Snowman
Is a fairytale, they say
He was made of snow but the children know
How he came to life one day

There must have been some magic
In that old silk they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around

Frosty the Snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me

Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Frosty go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of snow :p :D :p :D :joyfull: :joyfull:

I've had this for a long time, I keep on a TV or radio to drown out the noise, and I go to bed with the TV on. Hubby is so sweet to turn off the TV sometime in the middle of the night. He can sleep through anything, thank god! It works out for both of us!

That is sweet of him.
DWifey is the one that sleeps like a ton of lead bricks these days. I just seem to need the TV to wind down at the end of the day. Usually watching The Golden Girls on Hallmark (but, now all of DWifey's Christmas movies are on for the next coupla' months  ;)). It seems to help me relax and get to sleep, and we are used to each other after all these years. :)

Adorable is the Nick special that'll be on at the end of this month?
I dont think so.
the half shell heroes seems a different special.
its probably going to be longer as well.
right now they travelled to the future.
so could be a 2 part episode (or more).

The special should be about the TMNT 2012 turtles, meeting the classic ones of 1987 a la "Turtles Forever".
