Happy farm market Saturday and pencil give away day! My dh is going in an hour later today. I think they realized a 5am start was a bit on the early side. I don't see what the problem was as I've already have the pancakes cooked for today! I make a very large stack and the boys can heat and eat. If I ever tried to make them once they were up I'd never be able to keep up with them

I wasn't suggesting that you shouldn't check out the candy. Sorry guys...didn't state my point very well. I think we should be cautious and careful as can be. I was saying that it is not something people should be stressed about as it is made out to be a bigger issue than it actually is. Emergency rooms are not filled with sick children who have been intentionally injured by Halloween candy each year. You are much more likely to trip on your costume. That's all I was saying.

Sorry...back to my regularly scheduled cute cat photos.

I'm not about to find every news report from years ago in my area about this, because it definitely happened, but here's one from just yesterday, from USA TODAY:

I only get used to it, when it's time to change, again. Why can't we just pick a time and stay on it?

Amen, sister. I would prefer Standard time all year round; I'm not a fan of Daylight Savings at all. But more to the point here, I also wish we had just ONE time throughout the year. Changing twice a year is insanity. I'm sure you're also aware that when they do this, the number of car accidents goes way up for a few days, because people's biological "clocks" have not adjusted.

Indiana had some counties that didn't observe DST, but I think they do now.

Oh good grief, that would be complicated! Can you imagine if you lived in one county, but went to work every day in a different county with a different time?? You'd probably have to get 2 clocks next to the bed: one for the morning alarm to get you up on time to get ready for your job, and the other clock for the actual time in "your" county where you live!! :jawdrop:

@figmentfan423 , I wonder what picture @MOXOMUMD will have for Halloween today? I'm going to take a guess here. Since she enjoys the work of Tim Burton, I think she might have a picture from Sleepy Hollow--maybe the Headless Horseman? ;)
You may be right, but she may go with cute cats and dogs as most of us are fans of those. I'm sure the choice will be excellent.

Great idea. I often do the batter the night before but no reason not to make the whole thing.

Haha! :D You know me so well but not my Halloween picture choice. I will give you one though. :) Here's a Burton/Disney/Dreamworks picture for you.
