Here's a snippet of a conversation I had with one of my students this week. (Background in one of their classes they are learning about buisness law and have to research a criminal.)

Student: Mrs. P, why does Wisconsin have so many serial killers.
Me: I don't know, maybe they ate too much cheese.
Student (very seriously): Well, we do have a lot of cheese here.
(meanwhile the other students nearby are laughing). I thought it was kind of funny too.

welp.. its been raining for 5 days straight now..
some towns are nw flooded, several rivers went out of their banks.. and also rains means no kids asking for candy which means I bought all candy for myself

Really? I think even if it rained here there'd still be kids trick-or-treating with umbrellas.

We don't have cats now but when we did yes. Never had to feed them either. They kept the critters out of the feed and hay that's for sure,

When my inlaws knocked down their garage to build a new one the kitty had the time of her life knocking off one after the other. So proud of herself. She, when she caught one on a normal day would deposit it on the back stair and expect a treat. Good enough in my book.

She was a yellow tabby. Cool Cat.

I always thought it was so funny how cats did that. Bringing carcasses to you expecting lavish praise.

Yep it should be raining here again oy, in a few hours and continue just about till the time the trick or treat hours end. Last year it snowed.

Well, speaking of 40's, (I wish I could see those years , again), it's time for Grandma to get supper (a word for dinner), down on the farm!

I generally say "supper", if we're eating at home; "dinner", if we're eating out.

1am Sunday. seeing I'm going to be sleeping, my clocks get changed before I go to bed. That should mess with the boys as they're planning on staying up and watching a movie with my dh. Something with a big yuck factor so I'm changing the clocks and going to bed at my regular time
