I've been very good so far about not opening up the candy bags for trick or treaters on Halloween . . . until tonight. I had the (small-sized) Kit Kats and 2 of the Hershey's as well. Then again, I was performing a public service, by taste testing the candy so that I'd be sure the children who come by, would like it . . . :p

Now you know it is not poisoned!

I believe he's referring to this:

Minnie’s Seasonal Dining
Minnie invites you along to meet all her friends at fabulous dinner parties throughout the year.

Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy for delightful dinner celebrations centered on the magic of the season. As each new season comes, Minnie’s marvelous nights bring unique music, décor and menu items to celebrate the cheer of the winter holidays, the verdant bounty of spring, the sizzling summer excitement or the thrills of Halloween.

I actually like the sound of that. It's not like I would be rushing to h&v otherwise.

One guy in our neighbourhood just sits outside with his bucket so he doesn't have to get up and down. (I imagine that can be a little chilly some years though.) Another sets up shop in his garage which he decorates as a haunted house. And others just leave the bowl of candy outside for people to help themselves. I haven't handed out candy in years as we are out all evening trick or treating with our little ones.
I left candy out one year, and it looked like vultures got into the bowl. ;)

Do you live in a neighborhood where people tend to give out the expensive goodies? Word gets around about that, too. There is no trick-or-treating here, though Halloween is starting to become a bit more popular in the last few years, so I always buy a bag of candy, just in case...but I've never had anyone come to the door. Kids DO go around on Nov. 11th for St. Martin and they sing for candy, but I've never had St. Martin kids, either. But then, we never had trick or treaters when hubby and I lived in the US either. A lot of kids don't bother with apartment buildings.
Our houses are pretty close together, so a kid can cover a lot of homes, in a short amount of time.

Well those scammers aren't going to catch me on the long lost family bit. The only family I care about/get along with is my immediate family and 2 cousins. If I had someone call up and say they were my long lost whatever, I would hang up.
Other than my sister, every other close family member is dead, or we don't keep in touch. I don't think, anyone has my phone number either. We have call waiting, so if I don't recognize the number, I don't pick it up.

Good morning to you all.

There...done my ketchup.

Travelled four hours yesterday to come and visit a friend. Nice to be free for a couple of nights. Of course at 2 am I got a call that my youngest ended up in the ER. It's just croup but it's always something! Mama can't get away worry free.

Enjoy your day, all y'all.
Sympathy like I hope your baby gets well soon. xoxo

My boys want a playstation 4 for Christmas and I'm not sure if it is worth it. They aren't allowed any games past a T rating. I know the new Kingdom Hearts game is supposed to be out by the end of the year and a new Ratchet game in late spring. HELP! Do any of you know anything about it? THNX
