I believe he's referring to this:

Minnie’s Seasonal Dining
Minnie invites you along to meet all her friends at fabulous dinner parties throughout the year.

Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy for delightful dinner celebrations centered on the magic of the season. As each new season comes, Minnie’s marvelous nights bring unique music, décor and menu items to celebrate the cheer of the winter holidays, the verdant bounty of spring, the sizzling summer excitement or the thrills of Halloween.
That sounds fun to me. :)

Sadness, it would have been to meet up. I do know we will be going to trader sams at least once if you are interested in that. It is planned to be a break from the parks, and to get some of the yummy Chinese long beans.

Do you know which date you planned to go there? Although I'll be taking my daughter up north to San Francisco and Monterey that week, and we won't be back until Saturday night. I'm assuming you fly back on Sunday?

Wow...nice. My starting salary as a teacher in Wyo was 21,000 plus a one time signing bonus of 1500. Not much.

We don't do a signing bonus. I think our starting is in the low 40's or maybe high 30's. Most of our teachers hold masters. Between the district paying for them and the 2 step raise-cost of living & master step it is easily a 10K increase for newish teachers. 21k ouch but is the cost of living any lower there? Our average home property tax here is $7500-12000 another ouch so there is the funding for teachers and based on my last negotiation they believe they are way under paid. Sadly it isn't the salaries that kill the budget it is all the mandates and the worst killers are health insurance and TRS retirement benefits. Our professional staff receive 75% of their salaries when they retire and the average salary at retirement is $135,000. So those two line items hurt.

We don't get trick or treaters because I live on the outskirts of town and my house sits way back from the road and up a hill. (I have a good walk to the mailbox!) I hand out candy at my mom's who lives in town and my daughter goes out with my niece.

We were one of the last roads to have sidewalks installed, well after my kids were done with trick or treating. I sent them off with friends back then with friends in neighborhoods with sidewalks. Now I don't know what to expect. Last Halloween it snowed. Now this year we have six hours to treating vs 4 and on a Saturday. So hard to predict.

My poor DD does this every trip with us and them and GKids. She still loves it though. I keep telling her, when it gets to much we will do our own. She says Disney "is her world". I guess so as she has made it her "career for right now". She said she will be moving on after the kids leave for college. We will probably be moving on too! (as in age);):jawdrop::joyfull:

Oy College. We took a long sabbatical from Disney while my kids were in college. Not because we wanted to, or nobody wanted to, it was because it wasn't a choice. College is beyond expensive. The average since my kids were born has gone up 179%. Who the heck can save at that rate of inflation???? Dear Lord. Disney was the first budget cut.

Registered for classes. Didn't get one section that I wanted because it said it is restricted to fashion majors.o_O Why an international marketing class is restricted to fashion majors is beyond me. I signed up for a marketing elective for now that is at the same time. I'll probably call the registrar's office tomorrow and see if that section will open up to other majors at a later date.

Now it is nap time..
:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: it's beyond me, I don't get it either. Can you take that course elsewhere?

So Hollywood and Vine goes to the dogs...can't Disney leave anything without a character in it alone. ;))
I saw that and said well what I said would be censored. I'm also wondering about how that would affect Fantasmic packages as one of my boys wanted go there as his pick:cautious::rolleyes::eek::hungover::hungover::hungover:. He wasn't getting it and now I really have an out LOL It seems like the good places are all in a resort or DTD now so we may do more qs than originally planned. I'd love to save money but..............

I've been very good so far about not opening up the candy bags for trick or treaters on Halloween . . . until tonight. I had the (small-sized) Kit Kats and 2 of the Hershey's as well. Then again, I was performing a public service, by taste testing the candy so that I'd be sure the children who come by, would like it . . . :p
:cautious::rolleyes: Normally I'd believe you but I think the Hershey company has a rather good quality control program for it's goodies. it did sound like a good excuse LOL Have you considered moving to Hershey and becoming a taste tester, I know somebody who did that for another company and she liked the job until she had to leave because her dh got a promotion that required moving 1/2 way across the country
