I loved this house when I was at school. Another house I loved that was across the street from my dorm was recently sold for $15 million.

My gosh, I'm assuming this is in Newport. I love the "houses" (o.k., mansions . . . ) on Bellevue Avenue and on the side streets, such as Ruggles, as there are so many exquisite estates in the Gilded Age historic district. The larger grand mansions are awesome, but I also really like the smaller mansions such as Chateau Sur Mer, and Kingscote.

And it's interesting that Salve Regina College managed to grab some beautiful estates over the years (I'm assuming some of them were donated, or some I believe were leased, to the college). Assume you're familiar with the Carey Mansion on Ruggles Ave. (the old daytime series, Dark Shadows, filmed the exterior for "Collinwood"), which the college uses for a student dormitory!

It will be Mexican cuisine, his food is really yummy.

I can't wait to try it. I love Mexican cuisine! Black beans are one of my favorites. Sorry, I can't have cilantro though, It doesn't agree with my taste buds or tummy!

Wow, even if we did pool together, there are already 600 inquiries. I'm sure a lot of them are business investors, though. It takes 3-4 days to tour the entire property!

Although I'm sure @Wrangler-Rick wouldn't mind living there if it came with a full-time staff!

Ugh, I hate jeans. I have one pair of jeans and I only have them because we had to wear jeans for a choir performance, so I had to go out and buy a pair. They are SO uncomfortable to me...restrictive and the two points on the top with the button and button hole dig into my stomach something terrible. I have a hard time finding pants to fit because my waist is so much smaller in comparison to my hips and thighs and such, so if I can get them pulled up, they are way too big in the waist, so I also have to wear a belt and then the belt digs in as well. I avoid jeans like the plague. I had some that I bought at Lane Bryant in 2010 that I LOVED. They were a very soft denim and they were made for curvy women, so there wasn't such a gap at the waist...they were wonderful. But they don't have those here and the ones I had wore out and I wanted to get more last time I was in the US, but I was only in Wyoming and there is no Lane Bryant in Wyoming....at least there wasn't then. But you're right...everything in CO and Wyo is so casual!

Kohls has regular elastic waist, plain jeans that you might like (no belt needed). The come in petite, misses and plus sizes, so something to fit everyone. The jean material isn't too heavy, so I'm thinking you might find these comfortable.

I also like L L Bean jeans (those ones are the regular, fly front, traditional style). They also offer a range of sizes and they are very good, heavier jean quality. I alternate between the slightly lighter Kohls jeans, and the Bean jeans, and am happy with both styles.

Kohls has regular elastic waist, plain jeans that you might like (no belt needed). The come in petite, misses and plus sizes, so something to fit everyone. The jean material isn't too heavy, so I'm thinking you might find these comfortable.

I also like L L Bean jeans (those ones are the regular, fly front, traditional style). They also offer a range of sizes and they are very good, heavier jean quality. I alternate between the slightly lighter Kohls jeans, and the Bean jeans, and am happy with both styles.

Great ideas, I'm going to look for the elastic waist. My waist seems to keep going up and down!

Not too much new information about Hurricane Patricia, other than it wasn't catastrophic (thank goodness), but the rains are still a big issue. The danger is still from flash floods, and mudslides. For now, it seems like people are just staying put (except for the ones they evacuated yesterday from certain areas).

Hoping @Cesar R M and his family are doing o.k. I'm assuming he may lose power at some point, so I guess we may or may not hear from him for a while, depending upon conditions in his area.

Like Betty, I'm always in jeans, as I'm super casual and they're the most comfortable for me. Do you wear mostly dresses or skirts then?

No, I wear plain black dress slacks. They tend to be less stiff than denim and even if I need to wear a belt, it's more comfortable than jeans.

Speaking of rain storms, @donaldtoo , I've been watching reports about very heavy rain in parts of Texas and they mentioned Austin, was one of them. (Is this the backlash of the hurricane?) What's going on in your area--everything o.k. on your street?

Hubby brought home a butternut squash. I roasted in the oven and it didn't shred! By, the way how do you cut these in half? I couldn't get any knife through it. Hubby had a hard time with it too.

I don't think butternut squash shreds like spaghetti squash does...but I'm no @figmentfan423 . She'd probably know for sure, if she hasn't answered already.

I ate most everything on the plate, except those. Now, they are one of my favorites!

My mom and my brother always complained about how picky I am, but really, most parents would have been happy to switch. There were very few veggies I didn't love. My mom could put just about any kind of potato, any veggie, and any cut of meat on my plate and I would gobble it. The thing I was picky about was stuff like sauces or seasonings...how hard is it to just make some without dumping sauce on it? It's easier to make a sandwich for me...no butter to spread. French fries? No ketchup needed. I really don't know what was so hard about it. My mom would have REALLY had problems with my son!

This new bike is amazing for 249.00$. I still don't have any knee or back pain, and I'm riding an hour and a half. When does the weight start falling off? ha, Nothing has changed for me, yet. Maybe it's all the Halloween candy around!

Give it time though. My best friend told me that it takes at least 4 weeks to see a difference in your body, 6 weeks for your significant other to see it, and 8 weeks for everyone else.

I was walking home from the Centrum today and someone stopped me and asked me for directions and then asked me if I'm Polish. (probably didn't recognize the accent...a lot of people don't. Most ask if I'm from England) So I said "No sir, I'm from the US" and he said "Oh! America...wow...well you look good for being American." .... Um....thanks? I...think?

I never been to those two. My last time at the Breakers was at Christmas where they deck it out and give eggnog. But we usually had field trips to the mansions during school.

Thanks Minnie, but, we're good for now! Lots of flooding, but, we're on the high end of our street, at the dead end that abuts a water retention/detention pond.
We're actually at a wedding right now. Oldest DDs and SILs besties. They were in their wedding party and now they're in theirs.
It was originally to be outdoors like oldest DD and SIL, but, had to be moved to a small chapel on the grounds because of the weather. It was packed. Beautiful ceremony though, and the reception is a blast...!

Anyone heard from @Cesar R M...?!?!?!
