I'm listening to the radio and they are talking about 'Studies' duh studies.

High heels make feet hurt.

Students that do their homework get better grades than students that don't

Can I get paid to do these studies?
that study sounds pretty dumb. Obviously they will have better scores if homework is part of the work being counted for the overall score.
reminds me I once had a class that homework compassed 40%.. the other 40% was the exams.

Hey all! I just got back from a mini weekend away in Madison (our state capital) with some college friends. It was fun but I'm tuckered out. A lot of shopping and it is a 4 hour drive from my house. But we are at the melting pot restaurant and it was fabulous!!

We have a lot of fondue; cheese fondue, a broth fondue to cook our meat, and a chocolate Heath bar for dessert. I guess there is one of these restaurants in Minneapolis and that is any an hour away! I see more fondue in my future.....

Just heard the eye is disappearing quickly after hitting land, they are hoping with how quickly it is moving that it won't dump as much rain.
190 mph winds as it slams the mountains. Yikes.
the best part was how the wind core disappeared.. it became an oval once it hit the mountain range.. and we got NOTHING of damage.

unfortunately, many other smaller towns were hit hard by insane floods (the town of Mascota) or heavily damaged by winds/sea (Cihuatlan and Mazatlan)

One of our favorite places. We have one that isn't all that far away. We do the cheese, broth and usually the chocolate fondue for dessert.
Usually have the Liebfraumilch or Reselling wine, it goes well with the cheese and chocolate. Love that place but skip the salad.

@Cesar R M , I just got through all the posts here from last night and early this a.m. looking for your updates on the storm. I also pulled up a few web sites this morning about the hurricane. If I understand this correctly, it somewhat appears as though the worst passed by you (or started to break up in the mountains). The weather men seemed to be reporting from Puerto Vallarta (it was dark outside in the background, so I'm not sure what time they filmed those). You mentioned you were somewhat in that general area, so I just want you to know I was thinking about you this morning, too, and I'm hoping you are safe. I'm also hoping any damage to your area was minimal. If you have power today at home, please let us know if you're still o.k.
Well, Puerto Vallarta was hit by power outages and internet outages.
I am in Banderas Bay in the Nuevo Vallarta area (which is next to PVR but in the other state of Nayarit). We never lost power, only internet from one of my connections.
Luckily.. I have 2 internet connections.

So happy you and your family are OK. I haven't seen the news today as it was Spring Cleaning Day and I had to vacate as rugs, windows etc got cleaned. Hate to hear about all those in harms way, sad.

I was walking home from the Centrum today and someone stopped me and asked me for directions and then asked me if I'm Polish. (probably didn't recognize the accent...a lot of people don't. Most ask if I'm from England) So I said "No sir, I'm from the US" and he said "Oh! America...wow...well you look good for being American." ....:confused::confused: Um....thanks? I...think?
probably someone who thinks that all Americans are ultra obese who ride scooters? :P
