Your knowledge of Canada is quite skewed. Swartz's has the best smoked meat and Coffee Crisps rock. ;)

And oh yeah, Ski's GF is Ojibway, but identifies herself as Canadian first, Native second; and I've only ever heard her refer to herself as Ojibway when I specifically asked her tribal affiliation.

Sorry...I'm talking more about the Nations as groups and not specific individuals. Sure, there are Aboriginal people who don't care one way or the other...and you see this discrepancy within all cultural groups (immigrants, regional identities, etc.). But there are people who care and that's my point. We should respect that.

I can relate in a sense. I am a Maritimer. The Maritimes happen to be located in Canada but I care much less about Canada than I do about the Maritimes. I know there are others that feel differently.

Today was pretty chill. School wasn't that bad, and I got to pick up Aladdin Diamond Edition afterward! I had a short chat with the CM at the store about our favorite movies. He said he doesn't hear that many people who say The Fox and the Hound is their favorite. He was pretty excited (as am I) that animal movies are making a comeback.

There's growing confusion about how would-be flyers from Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire and New York will board planes when provisions of the Real ID Act go into effect. Because their state ID and driver's license processes fail to meet federal standards, passengers from those four states would likely need a passport or, in the case of non-citizens, immigration documents for air travel within the United States.

How? How do 'we' get to this point within our own boarders? :cyclops:

I'm thinking it's because we let them do it to us. So much for by the people, for the people in today's government. It's getting more an more obvious that people that are smart enough to govern are also smart enough to stay away from it. We don't have to lower standards, we have already hit bottom.

probably because I'm at the other end of the spectrum? I'm Mexican and we've had our doze of serious racism, hate and discrimination. Even on these days.
More specifically on "cool kids"(aka, online teenagers and young adults who think insulting, throw racism remarks left and right and other belittlement stuff, makes them "cool") online.

but I agree with that you say. After all, I think you're the one with studies related to the theme at hand.

I passed by the toys area when I went to the pharmacy section of my local supermarket (clever marketing scheme...)
And I suddenly was face to face to the new "half shell heroes" tmnt toys.

Jeebus, they made them disturbingly cute.
They only had the leo giant figure, but still lol.
had to punch a wall to regain my male card ;)
