Wow that was a quick one. Seems like you had some fun. How did the Move go?

Yep, waaaaayyyyyyy too short. It really needed to be at least a week. But, as I posted previously, we were thankful just to be able to make it happen at all. :)

I was gonna' post about how the move thing went last night, but, I was too wiped out by the time we got back into town at about 10p...
Anyway, Friday while at the coast, DWifey got a call from her mother (she lives with my BIL and our niece) saying that the closing on the house was delayed and that they would not be moving in until next weekend. We assumed BIL was just gonna' pay some weekly rate to keep all the stuff on the trucks 'til then.
Awesome for us! Now, we can check outta' the condo on Saturday morning, and piddle around in town for a bit before heading home, which we did.
Fast forward to about 10a Sunday (yesterday) morning...
DWifey gets a call from her mother asking where we are. WTH?!?!?! o_O
Apparently, what MIL left out of the Friday phone call was that BIL still needed us to come down yesterday to unload everything int o a storage unit, instead...!
I'm leaving out some details, but, by the time we got ourselves (DWifey, myself, an our SIL) all set to go it was about noon. 3+ hour drive to Houston begins. When we got there, he was waiting for us at the storage place with all of the stuff off the trucks (still forgot to ask who helped him with that part, but, there is no way ay he did it by himself - plenty of stuff took 3 of us to put in the storage unit), and about 1/2 of it already in the unit.
I took one look at the stuff still out and how the stuff he already in there was packed. NO WAY IN H**L was the rest of all that carp gettin' in there. so we started to pull things out and rearrange. :bored: After 3-ish more hours in the hot, humid, Houston sun we re finally doe and officially wiped out. :cyclops:
We dropped him off at the hotel and started heading back only to run into the craziest horizontally blowing rain storm for about 10 miles. Road construction barrels were being blown over and into the lanes, so a traffic snarl ensued. Finally, and thankfully, after getting through all that, the rest of the drive back was uneventful, and as I posted up there, we got back into town about 10p. Done.

OK gang, gotta' fly...
Have a Magical day...!
Laterrrrrrr...!!! :)

Oh my goodness, it's better to say what she doesn't. She knows how to play everything in the brass, woodwind and percussion section. In marching band her main thing is trumpet. Our students have the opportunity to play two instruments for competition band (same for football half-times) so she plays trumpet and kettle drum. In jazz band she plays tenor sax and our school has a steel drum band so she does that too. She does a lot of camps and activities with the Canton Bluecoats of DCI (Drum Corp International).
Wow talk about talent! Plus she has a cool mom with great taste in music.
Edit: make that a great aunt.

I think its a Goblin Shark.
and those are TERRIFYING.

The person who cooks has to have a horse wagon and beard to make it " Amish"

:hilarious:

I agree with you on the goblin shark. I watched shark week and I found it to be scarier than a great white. They just look menacing.

Good morning all. Are you having fun yet? I'm finally getting back to the cleaning. Got derailed to take a couple short trips, and spend the last week before school with the Grandson's.:happy:

Spending time with loved ones is much more important than cleaning! God made dirt and dirt don't hurt, right? ;)

Although I'm not a religious person so not sure where that leaves me! :p

I love brownies too. Have not made them in a while. I start out with the deluxe dry mix and then I alter it as I like very moist brownies, all gooey. I add an extra egg to counter the liquid chocolate I sub for half of the water called for. Then I pour half the brownie batter in the pan and and cover the entire top with Ghirardeli semi sweet chocolate chips and then cover it with the balance of batter. Dear Lord they are good and sickeningly rich. When my dream of Florida relocation is realized some day I will have to make you a pan when you are on vacation.

Now the first cool day I'm sure I'll be baking brownies. :hungry:
I caved in and bought a packaged mix. I will test tomorrow and see how it goes!!! XD

For those that been on Disney.com or ToonDisney.com since the 90's. Does anyone remember the game where you control Donald and had to clean up windows on a building? It was one of my first memories of Disney.com and I remember playing this game alot in 1999 since I remember another game on Disney.com where you control Buzz in Al's Toy Barn and a Mickey Mouse game where you control Mickey in his car. I remember Mickey giving an angry or annoyed expression if you crashed or fell into a hole. I hope these games are still around or copies are available. They all must have been removed at this point, but am I the only person who remember these games. I still remember the tune heard in the Donald Duck Window game. I haven't thought about that game in years and it suddenly poped up in my memory when I was thinking about my early years on Disney.com and the Internet. It was also the earliest memory I can remember when I first used the Interent and the first Internet game I've ever played.

Good old Henry hoovers for this household.none of these high faluting Dyson gizmo's
He said with a snooty British accent! ;)

I have two vacuums. One is a Kenmore that is over 25 years old. It's a tank type. About 10 years ago the hose, which contains the wiring for the beater bar started to disintegrate. I tried everywhere to find a replace because it was a good vacuum except for the hose. Now, I'm proud to say I have a very workable vacuum hose that is made up of the original internal structure proudly and neatly wrapped from top to bottom with Duct Tape. It fits right in with my redneck image. I think the tape cost me about $1.39. My other one is a "Red Devil" small upright that I use for quick pickups... Cheap as the come. Loud as they come as well. It cost me $29.00 new.

As that Canadian Philosopher Redd Green said... If you can't be handsome.. at least be handy! :joyfull:
