I do too. Although, I actually throw the carcass in a pot with a couple of OXO cubes, a bay leaf and raw celery, and convince myself I'm making my own stock.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of adult children, I'd also want to be able to stop by @ajrwdwgirl 's house for dinner a few nights a week (I wouldn't want to impose any more than that; plus it would give betty rose a break, from cooking dinner for me every night). I've been noticing over the past few months, how ajrwdwgirl creates some delicious meals in her kitchen. (I'd offer to do the dishes for her. )

In response to your comment to @donaldtoo , he was smart to be up early, because he wanted to greet the morning in such a beautiful setting. I'd do the same thing in a gorgeous setting like that. (Oh wait . . . I do that all the time anyway! ) Jack also likes early mornings and follows me around while I make coffee, and then come up here to the computer. But his morning enthusiasm is short-lived; he always goes back to sleep on the floor next to me (usually laying on my left foot!!)

I love dogs that are really people lovers. You have a special guy, in Jack!

@ajrwdwgirl , you had asked me recently about what new dog food we would finally end up using for our dog. I purposely waited a few weeks, just to make sure that our new system was working out well.

Hence, we found that if we mix about 1/2 of the Pedigree (which he had almost stopped eating since Pedigree messed around with the formula in that) along with 1/2 of the "new" high-end brand, Nature's Recipe (small bites, salmon, and grain-free) -- he now gobbles up his food!! We noticed his fur looks really good now too--all shiny.

So we're happy we found a combination that he loves. Also, it's helpful to us financially as well, because the Nature's Recipe is three times the price (N.R. is sold at Petsmart and Petco) of Pedigree, and by our using 1/2 and 1/2 of each, this works out well.)

Note to @catmom46 , Thanks also for the suggestion of Chewy.com for comparison pricing and free shipping. We're fortunate that we have both Petco and Petsmart very close by us, but if we couldn't get there, I would definitely order via Chewy.

I'm glad to hear that your doggie is doing much better. A dogs coat tells a lot about the health of the doggie.

That's actually quite impressive that your scores are still among the highest, even years later. Then again, I'm not really surprised, because you are very intelligent. I could see you being a whiz on a number of the gaming options at DQ. Isn't DQ going to close down soon, or have I got my rumors mixed up with something else? (Wouldn't be the first time! )

Haha, you're sweet. Some of them come easily, others, not so much. Dance, Dance Revolution I'm terrible at. Guitar Hero comes easily just because of doing music for so many years, especially violin.

Yes, DQ is closing at some point next year. It's unfortunate. I wish they would update the entire thing instead. It's a lot of fun. And I love going in there and playing unlimitted arcade games. I could do this with the Guitar Hero machine:

Haha, you're sweet. Some of them come easily, others, not so much. Dance, Dance Revolution I'm terrible at. Guitar Hero comes easily just because of doing music for so many years, especially violin.

I love arcade games, I've never gone to DQ. Guess I never will.

You can also get fresh tortillas.. put some chicken in, roll the tortilla, fry it in oil.. and voila! you get fresh hard shell tacos! (eat with sweet cream, shredded lettuce, onion, salsa picante and some tomato salsa with oregano)

Sounds good. I'll leave out the lettuce though. I like salads but I don't like lettuce on sandwiches, strange I know.

Hey, thanks for the update. I'm glad that you found a mix that works and gives him a nice shiny coat. We thought we had a blend with giving her a little Beneful (something we wanted to get her off of) and the Iams (the vet recommened). She was eating it up, and now she picks out the Beneful pieces and leaves the other! She sure is a picky girl! I don't know what we will do....

I make biscuits all the time. Sausage gravy and biscuits are one of my daughter's main requests when it's cold outside.

Wow, biscuits and gravy sure sound good. I suppose I should eat some lunch, but the turkey sandwich I plan to have doesn't sound as good as this.
