I'm trying. ) Getting things ready for school. We still have some clothes shopping to do. I wanted to wait until just before it started since she grew an inch taller over the summer. Her doc said she'll max out at six foot tall and I'm beginning to believe her. :joyfull:
Are petal pushers, or whatever they call them, still popular? You could buy her pants and as she grows she can wear them as petal pushers in spring. It work for us but we don't have the cold temperatures you have.

Yes I think the chocolate ones were the best. I just loved the way the wafer seemed to dissolve on your tongue then you had the creaminess of the filling. That settles it, I'm getting some for dessert tonight or tomorrow.

I've had those wafers before, but not for ages, that's why I forgot about them completely. But I recall I liked the vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ones. All were delish! :hungry:

I think pedal pushers are what they now call capris. (By the way, I think you had a great idea, but MOXOMUMD's climate may or may not make this option possible. I'll be interested, too, to see how she responds to your idea. :) )

Yup, all that wasted effort they put into us back then. (I doubt that either one of us will ever gain passage through the Pearly Gates!!) :p
I cannot speak for you... but, for me... I got a lot a splainin to do! :angelic:

I had a Brother of Christian Instruction that taught a religion class. He was asked by one of us, sadly not me, but, it could have been, what if he was wrong? This Brother was 80 something years old and his reply was "If I'm wrong then I wasted a lifetime. If I went the other way I would have wasted an eternity." Made sense at the time. He was also famous for his description of eternity to go with that statement. "Picture a huge granite stone the size of the earth. Now every hundred years a small bird would fly over it and brush his wing gently against it. When that granite stone was worn away, that was the end of eternity. Scary stuff for a kid.:arghh:

Baseball is very serious business, Cesar. Very, very serious. Especially when it comes to cheering AGAINST the Yankees. ;)
Let's be careful there. I was born and raised in New York State. When I was a kid I used to listen to the Yankee Games on a tinny sounding transistor radio. I was glued to it while I listened to the Yankee line up of Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and the others. Not so much of a issue now because you hardly ever hear of them playing anymore, so I stopped following it. They were the first winning team that I ever backed, the second was the 1969 Mets. I did back the Red Sox just about every year except the years they won the Series. By then I had given up on them and the game.

You will be happy to know that both my son in law and my grandson (by default) are huge Orioles fans. In fact, my son in law has a son from a previous marriage that he named Brooks. I'm sure you can figure out after who. (or possibly whom)

I agree. Now I'm going to not talk religion but spirituality here. I believe if you are good to others and try to be an instrument of change for peace in the world then it doesn't matter what you believe. It's all the same but as human beings we need to name things.

I can't help it. Being an Orioles fan is like being conditioned to hate the Yankees. My dad has been an O's fan ever since he was a kid (whenever the Mets come up, he brings up 1969). He's had season tickets since before I was born, so my brother and I have grown up going to games. My brother is named after an Oriole as well (although being named after Brooks Robinson is pretty cool). So us being O's fans has been inevitable. Even though they've been a losing team for most of our lifetimes.

Right before vacation, I came home with two new Orioles shirts. I had intended to buy shorts and instead came out with Orioles shirts, which were on sale for half off and were authentic MLB merchandise. My mom says, "Don't you already have enough Orioles shirts?" I told her nope Then my dad came home, and she told him about the shirts. His response? "Well, you can never have too many of those." :hilarious:

Every year I buy her new pants for school and by the time spring break rolls around she's ready for new ones. Shorts/capris are only allowed to be worn the first/last few weeks of school.
