No it didn't bug me at all. Many of the games featured (Donkey Kong, PacMan, etc.) didn't come out until the early 80's and that was the heyday of the arcade business. The bike thing didn't bother me either because we got our bikes in '79 and rode them until we couldn't anymore, probably in the mid-80's. By that time our local BMX track had opened and everyone wanted one of those bikes.

The GS do the same thing, they eat a lot for awhile, then jump in height, return to regular eating when the growth slows back down. I can't remember if I did that a lot growing up. I do remember being hungry. Mom was a stickler about gaining weight.
