With the learning curve, this has kind of been me...

Once I get passed the learning curve, I'm sure I'll love it. Just trying to figure it out for now. I've been using Windows 8 for more than three years and got very used to it.

One bug that I did notice was with the sound on one of my apps. But that was one app, and so far, that's been it. All my files still seem to be there (though I backed them up before upgrading).

Not sure I will switch to the Edge browser. I'm glad that they are phasing out IE as it was absolute carp, I really like Chrome. I like that it syncs between devices, I can log on on a school computer and everything looks the same, and it's been my primary browser for years now. Plus it has my cool Orioles theme. :D I guess I'm kind of stuck in my ways.

Will let you know more as I play with it some more.

Well, I have been using Windows 8 with a replacement Desktop/Windows Startmenu mod.
including dual screen mod with Displayfusion.

So I dont think there will be much difference for me, now that they mixed the Windows startmenu with the Windows 8 startmenu.

There are some differences. For instance, I noticed some of the settings have been moved from the Control Panel to a new Settings app. Viewing apps side by side is also different, and the charms bar is gone, although replaced by another menu if you swipe from the right edge of your screen. Stuff also looks different. I can take some screenshots to show you.

I'm surprised he would lay there on the foil. Funny.

please do!
I actually hated the charms screen... specially how they build most system apps towards METRO interface.
Very annoying if you're an expert that needs fluid movement between tabs and windows.

In The News: I had a good/bad day today. First the Bad... Today I was informed that I have prostate cancer. Then the good... it's not at a point where they think I need to do anything about it and that it might develop or it might just stay at the semi-dormant stage for a long time. We are going into monitor mode. So although it's not good news, it's not the worst I could get either. Just not a great thing to tell anyone on the day after their birthday.

HM themed bedroom

Can't wait to see what you do with the HM Bedroom as that is my all time favorite attraction. I always wanted to do one of our small bathrooms in a HM theme. This is my favorite piece of art work I'd want in a HM room.

Does anyone know if Disney replaced Art on Demand with another vendor or did the entire concept go bye bye?

@Cesar R M Here are some of the screenshots I've taken already.

With Windows 10, on the Surface or a 2-in-1 device, there are now two modes: Desktop and tablet. You have one of three options if you have one of these devices: you can set it manually when you're using your device as a laptop, it can automatically detect when you remove your keyboard/replace your keyboard and change modes accordingly, or it will detect when you remove/replace your keyboard and ask if you want to switch modes. I chose the third option. The major difference is that when in desktop mode, you do literally everything, well, within the desktop. When you are in tablet mode, all of your apps (including desktop apps) will go to full screen and you won't have access to your desktop

Here is what the new desktop looks like:
desktop.jpg
Cortana is on the left next to the start menu. You can type in what you want to ask her or use a microphone. She also learns what you like and what notifications you want to see. Click on her and your notifications will pop up.

I think it will be cool once they release her for iOS and Android and sync her across devices.

Next, we have the start menu. There are two versions of the start menu: one is the traditional start menu; the other is the full screen version. When in tablet mode, the only option is full screen. In desktop mode, you can change to which one you prefer.

startscreenpartial.jpg

The above is obviously the smaller version. It still features the live tiles and the apps. But integrated with the desktop instead of a separate screen.

startscreenfull.jpg
This is the full screen mode. Other than that in tablet mode, the task bar will be absent, this is how it would look in tablet mode.
settings.jpg
This is the new settings menu. I noticed that quite a few functions have moved from the control panel to the settings menu. For instance, you can change the theme in the Control Panel, but you change your wallpaper in Settings. Yeah, confusing. Kind of wish they would combine the control panel and the settings menu and possibly completely eliminate the control panel.

You'll notice that this is an app, yet the taskbar is still present. In desktop mode, all apps run within the desktop.

app.jpg
See? This is Windows Store, an app, running within the desktop. Much better if using a mouse and keyboard.

If you're running multiple apps/programs, swipe from the left of your screen. You'll see this:
app screen.jpg

Oh, and you can create multiple desktops now. You can create them and switch between them from this screen. I can tell you this will be my favorite new feature once school starts. No more fighting with so many windows in one desktop.

And last but not least (for now) remember the annoying charms bar? Gone. In its place, the action center.

Now, you can quickly adjust some settings and view your notifications (which on Windows 8 disappeared into an abyss never to be seen again).

So far, only two bugs that I noticed, one more serious than the other.

1. On one of my apps, the sound stopped working properly. It made a buzzing noise. It was just the one app, though.
2. I got a notification that updates were installing. During this time, the display driver failed and I had to restart the computer. Only happened once, but worth noting.

Other than that, so far so good...

Also.. sad day. Various newspapers reported that the artist behind the Archie Comics.. as died.
I remember having a big collection of spanish Archie comics.
I still facepalm how bad some of the new latest issues are.
I mean... Archie vs Predator??

I used to like Archie comics as well. I really liked the Betty and Veronica ones. I actually just sold a bunch of them at the garage sale we had in the spring.

So I clicked a headline that said this

Disney World’s EPCOT is about to get way better

I left disappointed. It was about Captain Pedophile coming back.

EO seems to be a love or hate attraction. Have not viewed it since Disney had the brains to pull it in the mid-90's. As likely to see it again as much as I would watch Cosby.
