Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
In The News: I had a good/bad day today. First the Bad... Today I was informed that I have prostate cancer. Then the good... it's not at a point where they think I need to do anything about it and that it might develop or it might just stay at the semi-dormant stage for a long time. We are going into monitor mode. So although it's not good news, it's not the worst I could get either. Just not a great thing to tell anyone on the day after their birthday.

Awe, I am sorry to hear that. Will pray for the dormant version.

Please tell me I gave you credit the first time I stole (oops, I mean "used") it.

Hahaaa...! :)
I just had to log back in to reply...
It really doesn't matter. No "credit" necessary. It's such a perfectly silly image. I remember finding it as a good-natured tease to a response to something from a friend on this thread. I liked the expression - or lack thereof - and the offcenterdness of the subject.
Heck, it was probably used by someone around this site before me, years ago, and I just never saw it.
I can't even keep track of how many times I've used @Cesar R M's "Alien Guy", so it's all good. We all contribute...no worries...! :)

Sweet Disney dreams to all, again...y'all all got double sweet dreams, tonight...! ;) :)

Hey, @Gabe1 , remember last summer when I told you about Jack's favorite hobby--hunting house flies? Well, we just had some intermittent rain storm in the area over the past few days, and it brought with it, a lot of flies. Open the door, in fly the flies inside.

Now, hubby can't stand flies. So, I just went downstairs and I saw the funniest sight. Hubby was running around like a lunatic with a fly swatter, and Jack was also engaged in the big fly hunt. Turns out they had both picked the same fly and a collision ensued!! While hubby went to swat a fly near a wall, Jack also jumped up to catch that exact fly in his mouth--and he and hubby crashed into each other, and fell to the floor! :hilarious: (Neither was hurt.) I truly think that if hubby just stayed out of it, Jack would have nabbed most of the flies in his airborne attacks!
Jack Attack! :D

Oh, my school was just as mercenary as any other--they didn't skip over photo revenue at all. What I was meant to say was that they never did a "class group" picture. They did take individual head shots of all the kids, and sometimes my parents would buy a picture for home, and then a smaller one for the grandparents.
The smallest package at my daughters school was 2 5x7 and 8 wallet--$30. A big ol' pass on that. I took her to WalMart and got 50 pics for $15.

I go to a small school that's almost in the middle of nowhere. It's safe. The most exciting thing we ever had happen was a shooting scare that turned out to be some kids hunting in the woods (they weren't supposed to, but anyway...). Dorms are less than a decade old. As far as dorm rooms go, they are actually very, very nice. No communal bathrooms, apartments available, etc.

But home has my cat, so...
Yes I wouldn't want to leave my cats either.

The only ones of those I've ever seen all the way through were the originals and remakes of The Fly and The Thing, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Exorcist.
Haven't seen any of 'em in recent years, except the original The Thing on TCM a few years back. :)
I dont think the Exorcist will ever be remade in something as chilling as the original D:

Sympathy like.

Would send y'all some of ours, but, we seem to have finally entered or regular summer hot and dry pattern.
Finally hit 100 yesterday, and we haven't had any rain to speak of in quite some time.
But, at least the lake is finally full, after all these years...! ;) :)
seems the climate gods finally are answering our prayers. It has been raining( almost daily) in the afternoon and at night here!
