I don't allow my baby boy to sleep in the bed with us either unless it is really a terrible thunderstorm like the other night when lightening struck a tree on the hill behind our backyard. That had to be the loudest boom I have ever heard in my life.
yikes!

There arent lightning arrestors nearby?
The good thing of living in Mexico is.. there are CELL phone towers every.. 3 miles.. and they are pretty tall with lightning arrestors.
All taller than 3 floors (or commercial buildings like Sam's and Walmart) have a bunch of them everywhere.

so no real house hits for us.

My dh has a whole stack of cargo shorts mostly for get aways, he's currently in search of a bum bag for our next trip as his Travelon man bag has seen better days. He says the cargos are great for some things but not the camera or phone. We're going to be in the 90s all week and my dh refuses to wear shorts to work even though he can, something about pasty white chicken legs:confused:
maybe he needs to have a bit of time getting a tan outside :D

I actually wonder if the worries are also security related.
I mean.. after having these madman teenagers and their pressure cookers..

Actually, that was probably only # 3 down the list of reasons against hosting the games. Truly, the main reasons were the lack of transparency in finances, and the useless traffic/transportation "plan" they tried to hide (until a legislator made them reveal that document). Reasons 1 and 2 killed it. Amen.

I feel your pain. I'm always sad when I leave. But I'm glad you have snacks to enjoy! For me, the way I remember my trip is by buying Disney cups and mugs that I use everyday.

That's definitely a healthier option, and more long-lasting. (I never do a dining plan like catmom; but if I did, and had extra snack credits, I think I'd still probably grab as many sweets as I could to take home! ;) )

None that I know of nearby. I kind of live in a community that is tucked away from everything though.
