huuuu, why would they do that in july ?

A few places do Christmas in July stuff, like sales and the like. Just something fun to do/celebrate in the midst of summer. Maybe it is just a Midwest thing.

Back in my day anyway, a lot of them weren't so bright, either...

You've heard me speak of the Gazebo parties my DS use to have here and then I'd wake to find a dozen or more friends asleep in my family room. Those young women kept up with the guys and then some. A tie for stupid and foolish in the morning. Can't tell ya how full the recycling bin was those weeks of summer for a few years. Sheriff only came once though, I was bringing my DD down to her University for the first time.

Funny I don't have butter in my fridge. I do buy it for specific purposes, if DD is going to bake cookies or it is sweet corn time (coming up real soon) but I generally cook with olive oil and sometimes vegetable oil. Love butter though, I will have to try it.

I have to say the instant potatoes were pretty good. A different taste overall than from fresh potatoes but good in their own right.

We didn't have any big problems opening doors - it just took a little more acrobatics to align with the locks.

My thing was even with the Magic Band I still had to carry a purse to hold my camera, phone, and sunglasses. I suppose Google Glass could have solved a couple of those issues (if transitions lenses were possible).

Your're still ALL getting it wrong people...cargo shorts. Done.

Ugh, turned on FB news feed after being gone all day, and see the news about Bobbi Kristina Brown. Ugh. So terrible. Not unexpected, but terrible. She had it rough after her mom died. So tragic

Not in my house.
Here, all I have to do is change the cat litter ... and they both come running from the ends of the Earth (okay, the four corners of the house) to be the first lucky kitty to soil the fresh litter.
