They don't have to be cooked in butter, they can be boiled and have a little smidgeon of butter, for flavor put on them after cooking. Basically, they are good for you. Any substitute will do.I only had brussle sprouts once that I liked. Then I found out how much butter had gone into cooking them.I don't think it was healthy anymore, so I just avoid them. It isn't hard to do.
Gosh, why the heck didn't I think of that??!!!
