Good almost morning! Another busy day. The guys are heading out for yard work duty and it's going to be nice so I'm hoping to finally go swimming after packing them up. My mil is keeping my little guy for the week to give me a bit of a break. It's not really a break as the boy's bathroom is getting gutted. That should be lots of fun NOT!

Good morning, Figgy! Where do you go swimming?

Yeah I am still not overly impressed with some of the thought processes of high school. The amount of packets and books to be read over Summer Break is getting daunting and most of these kids work over the summer. I know they are trying to boost their test scores but all this extra work doesn't seem to be raising the scores. The self educating over breaks doesn't seem to viable. My DS did half and half with finals before and after Christmas. DD did all prior to Christmas. So much better despite going back mid August.

I had to chuckle, thinking about summer reading lists. As kids, all we wanted to do was play all summer. I recall my sister, brothers and myself would get all the books we were supposed to read over the summer, just 4 days before school was to start up again; and we'd have these cram reading sessions! It was painful! :in pain:

And, back when I was in the lower grades (2 through 4), we had to read about 6 books over the summer, but we were allowed to choose whatever books we wanted from the library. So, I'd follow the same pattern of going to the library about 4 days before school started, and I'd pick out the skinniest books I could find!! :D :joyfull: As you can tell, my life wasn't exactly destined for induction into Mensa . . . ;)

Another box of MBs.

According to my account, I have eight. Yet what do I do each trip? Wear the exact same one that I got several trips ago. And if my left hand is still in this lovely contraption, will be requesting a plastic RFID card anyway and won't be wearing it at all (I wear a watch on my other wrist).

Just kinda seems like a waste. Wish there was an opt out feature. They're all just kinda sitting in a stack on my desk.

AAA members can buy park tickets (regular, plastic version card--not bands) at the AAA offices around the country. I always do that, and they give you a discount of (around $20 or so off the price--I had a 5 day hopper with water parks). So you don't have to have a band at all, because the cards do exactly the same thing. (Plus, I don't like wearing a band; if that was all that was offered, I'd have to cram it inside my little purse, or put it in a pocket.)

funnily, I used to sleep very nicely with the vibration humm of our old central A/C unit.
Now after my dad's passing. I always get up instantly on any vibration. I fear some thief might enter by forcing doors open..etc..

speaking of stuff..

I'm angry in ways I cant describe right now.

Our president as been the worst piece of s... my country has faced.
He as been selling or ruining every government owned company.. ruining the insurance and health care as well...already breaking apart the company that gives the most to the coffers (needed to run the country). Aka PEMEX..
Also has been a total inept in stopping the NARCs.. infact, its rumored that he made a pact with a few of them.
And now they barely stop real narcs. Hell, the military even killed civilians, who had formed defence groups to stop the narcs from terrorizing their towns.

And now.. just a mere day after this clown(the president) left with a gigantic groupie (of more than 350 people, including family members.. as a total waste of resources) to france. One of the top narcs that were recaptured a few years ago, escaped today.
This guy is a monster.. has a fortune near the top 50 of FORBES and can easily topple small countries.

I'm seriously ashamed of how dirty and crappy the political class of my country is.
At this rate we will be in the same levels of an African Nation with barely any control.
But instead of having rebellions of a random General wanting a coup d'etat.. we will get narc wars.

Wow. Sorry to read about all that going on in your country. Sounds like it will take quite a while before things start getting better.

You all have no idea what I went through to get the following two pics. First, I got off at the wrong train station in Haifa. I didn't know Haifa was such a huge city! I've been mostly walking along the coast since my last update going nowhere fast. Fortunately, the coast was beautiful and I did snap quite a few amazing pics that I'll post later. I was on a mission to see Israel's one and only subway line. The line has two stations: one at the bottom of the mountain near the beach and the other at the top of the mountain where it connects to a multistory shopping mall that has a 50 story apartment building on top of that and community reaction facilities above that. Well, both Apple Maps and Google Maps had me walking around in circles for miles. I finally broke down and got a taxi for 50 shekels ($12.50) to the station by the beach. After exiting, I realized I left a bag in the taxi. Fortunately the contents of that bag were just a beach towel and a good pair of jeans (that I will miss). Well, now, I am at the subway station. And gues what? It's closed. Enjoy these two pics. I mean please please enjoy these two pics. I really work very very hard to get them!

After our nap and walking around the resort we went over to the studios just to take some pictures. We ended up riding Rock n Roller coaster, which was different on the inside (no theming of LA or going to a concert, you were there to listen to them record the album). I'm not a fan of RNRC in Florida as upside down rides give me headaches but the wait time was 5 minutes, so we did it and our car had no music! That is one of the best parts of the ride, I don't know if it was just our car or every car but it was disappointing.

After the main courtyard entrance at the Studios you enter through a large soundstage that has shops and quick service and then exit by the partners statue and a mini Hollywood set and then you wander off to different parts of the park.

I love all your pictures, the indoor outdoor pool looks really cool.

So, no subway. That means I will climb to the top of the mountain. Haifa is built on a mountain slope. I will ascend by ancient staircase alley ways to the top. The blue dot is where I am and the red balloon is where I am going. The other two pics are of the staircase alleyways I am ascending now.

The question is will I make it. I can honestly say that without a shadow of a doubt, I honestly don't know. But I'll give it a try. Here I go...

I don't for my pass. We're AP holders and can get a card if we want (and usually choose to). But every time we book a hotel reservation, we get a new set, and sometimes we have more than one per trip. So I've got a stack of them. Just sitting there.
