So, last night, I stopped creeping around and actually talked to people and met some new friends. I took some more pics before my phone died.

These are OK, although slightly disturbing, but, please do not start sending those semi p ornographic nightclub pictures like you did on your last big trip. Your interests and ours usually end up in completely different directions. Just, hopefully, a friendly request.:)

I did what?! I have better judgement than that. I don't remember taking any such images. I have no interest.

ANY WAY, I'm starting to understand people here. It's scary. Twice people in the past hour asked me questions in Hebrew. One asked "What's that?" ("Ma zay") and another asked in Hebrew what time it is. I understood and answered both in English. Scary.

Without seeing @figmentfan423 pictures, I'm already jealous.

On a side note...I would love to do theme parks around Europe when visiting the country. Like Tivoli Gardens in Denmark, Europa Park in Germany (2 hours away from Stuttgart and an hour away from Basel, Switzerland), etc. Though some parks are not in the city so you have to take the train or drive.

The USA has a lot but some like Kennywood are in places I would never visit.

Ha! Your Grand-kid's obviously have very honorable parents. Me, not so much. I ripped them out of school for almost two decades (kids 5 grades apart) More times than not we went in mid to late October when the temps were still warm but not HOT and humid. They generally missed 12 days of school because they also missed a day or two before the trip to do all that homework before we left other wise it wasn't much of a vacation for us or them. They always did 100% of their homework and usually were farther ahead of the classroom when they got back. Both got into the Universities of their choices, both graduated college, both have jobs in their chosen fields. The gloom and doom of the catastrophic educational harm I was inflicting upon my children just didn't materialize.

We also did Christmas Break. That is when we did mornings and then evenings to beat the heavy crowds. We'd go from apx
Dec 23rd to around January 8th. They'd only miss a few days at the beginning of January because they have 2 weeks and 3 weekends over the holiday break. That second week was generally peaceful and pretty empty with cooler weather in the 70's. Just get out before Marathon Weekend.
I took daughter out of school for Disney trips. It's so different today...they try to enforce every kid in their seat.

Happy Friday everyone! Just finished last night's project, replacing the water pump on DW's 7.3L turbo diesel truck. It failed catastrophically Thursday night - luckily just before she got to our driveway pulling the horse trailer, so she was able to get it next to the machine shed before anything bad happened to the motor. It's nice outside now, so me thinks I am going to get out the push mower and get some exercise - I have to lose that Disney 15! (Well actually more than that, but I can't blame it all on Disney.)
Actually, I blame Meg! :p

My firm is actually not that way, but, there is work to be done and deadlines to be met.
We have office events, we've been taken to movies and lunch in the middle of the day, food provided at luncheons ;), etc..
It can be extremely stressful a lot of the time, but, the partners also make a concerted effort to make it worth it...most of the time, anyway...! :D :cautious: ;) :)
I'm so glad for you, hubby's firm was extremely large, and impersonal. Guess those perks go away, the larger the company is.;)
