Cost's keep us away from restaurants. And the declining quality.

Hubby and I go out every Friday night to a local restaurant that serves good food at reasonable prices. We know the entire staff there, as well as some of the regular patrons as well. It's our place on Friday nights, and we all have fun eating and gabbing away. :inlove: :hungry: When we finish our dinner, we then go hang out a while with some of the other patrons that we've known now for years. The regulars arrive at different times, so sometimes we're there for a couple of hours visiting at other tables. :)

You are very fortunate. I would LOVE to be able to do something like that, but with such a saturated restaurant market out here, it's soooo difficult to find a local restaurant to patronize (but in a good way).

in other news, got my car back.
go figure.. they found a lot of bad things after it failed yesterday
but the car seems to be running perfect now.

A/C works.
The brakes (which I always knew where at fault) were replaced. It no longer makes the awful noise.
They also replaced some sensors and cleaned the oxygen tubes (or something like that )

Oh, thank goodness!! You've certainly had enough car problems!! Glad to hear it's running smoothly now. ;)

New in the news.... Recent studies have determined that 66% of all woman are overweight. Just a thought but since a major majority are heavier then the small minority, wouldn't that mean that the standard of weight would be in the majority camp. In other words it is normal to be bigger and the small ones are just plain freaky?

Bless you! I finally have a decent excuse to lug around these extra 20 pounds!!! I'm NORMAL!!!! YEEEE HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :D :joyfull: :hilarious:

Interesting dilemma you have. So many good restaurants in your area would make it difficult to have a regular, home base one. Then again, having a multitude of awesome eateries ain't too shabby!! ;)

A lot of the reason why we go to the same place, has as much to do with the food, as it does with our regular server, the owner, and as mentioned, the other patrons. It's really a wind down for me after working all week to just go to a comfy, down-home place. Again, the prices are low, also, because hubby doesn't drink, and I rarely have a glass of wine. Our waitress always brings me milk, even before we get seated at the table, because she knows I like my moo juice with dinner better than any other beverage! :joyfull:

Well, a lot of good restaurants, just not in our neighborhood. Usually quite a bit further away than we'd like. That's Los Angeles sprawl for ya!

One of these days I hope to find something like you have. I guess I just need to keep looking, or just open my own restaurant! :cat:

tomato watch (I called it that when I was a kid). Have to run before it happens

We've also had a tornado watch in MA since early this morning, but they lifted the tornado watch a few hours ago. Basically we only had a tiny bit of rain, and just a bunch of clouds and occasional sun today. They blew it forecasting the weather this morning and even through the afternoon, but glad the weather system just fizzled out.

For our pals out there in the Midwest, you're used to having those sirens, but we don't have anything like that at all out here. Tornado activity is so rare in these parts; we all just stay tuned to the weather reports and most of the time we'd get bad thunder storms and some wind, but generally, not much more than that.

Whaaat?? A weather report that wasn't accurate? That's just business as usual for us out here. ;)

big paaaaass.. dos equis is really un popular in Mexico.
They have this..sorta "cheap" feeling on them.

Which is funny, as the CORONA is cheaper most of the time.
People who wnat something stronger, will always try the MODELO or INDIO.

I've had all of them.
I like Dos Equis. Corona is just OK.
Both the Modelo and Indio are great. I especially love me some Negra Modelo...! :hungry: :)
