We only go out for celebrations, kids birthdays, and ours etc. I much prefer eating at home, cause I have many food allergy's. Especially dairy. So many food choices out, include dairy. Kids like eating out, so we accommodate them. That's a big part of the reason we almost never eat out!
I agree, they are understanding, and trained to look out for allergies.Mmhmm. Us too. We just find safe locations that we know can handle it when we do get food at home. For instance, I know at Panera what I can order, and I think Chipotle and Subway don't have anything I'm allergic to on their menus. I think you guys have tougher allergies to contend with, though (for me it's nuts and fruit, although there are a few other foods I avoid as well). It will be a relief to get to Aulani and be dealing with Disney as far as food allergies go.
Agree.Thank you! This was my issue with that recipe as well. To me, "blend" meant mixing up the ingredients in a bowl. I was thinking of actually writing a letter to the magazine, explaining that all they had to do was add a few words, "In a blender or food processor, blend . . ." you know???!!! Granted, I'm not a chef by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought the directions were a big vague for someone who doesn't cook very often.
After fixing most meals, hubby only knows where to find food...and after 47 years of cooking...I'm going a somewhat more easier way. I used to do all scratch meals....no more. A box of cake, or cake from grocery store is good enough for me. I've never perfected the art of cake baking in the high altitude. Or really any baking, I took years of seeing cakes fall, cupcakes dry, and I finally gave up.ROFLOL Guess I'm the resident cook!Let's see 4 meals per day from scratch!
Not cook more like slave labor LOL
Yup, me too.We eat out more on vacation in one week than we do in a full year's time.
Thanks, some of us are "old folks", I love hearing and talking with the young people. You may be my vacations, in the future...and now. For that matter. Love experiencing your good times. So generous of you to take time to share. No need; just mentioning that I really don't mind my name being abbreviated.Had I known how much time I'd spend here, I might have picked something shorter!
Funny lol.Pulse?!Oh thank goodness they didn't use that word; that sounds way too advanced for me. I'd probably be standing at the counter, checking my own pulse rate, and then wondering what the heck to do with all the ingredients in front of me?!

snack!Running out for the bus now, but I have to ask--4 meals a day? Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and . . .??? What's the 4th??
I haven't eaten much meat either, until my health started suffering, now I have meat when I crave it. My body is telling me something. Meat is good, but I prefer beans and rice, or bean salad, or peanuts, and salad. I will eat turkey, but the rest is just take it or leave it. After one surgery, it just didn't have the appeal as before. Don't know why...but that's how it is. So I go with it.I don't eat those either. I live too close to cows, chickens, pigs and the like.
I'm sure it does seem wrong to us since we have a supermarket to go to and get our formally domesticated, cows, pigs and chickens for our family dinner. The same way we don't see them as domesticated animals it shouldn't be surprising or out of line to see other cultures survive with whatever they have.
I would bet that we are fairly close to the only culture that dresses our animals up in people like garb. We basically have way too much free time.[/QUOTE

Okay, I have an open reservation for your gazebo. Make it a double. I like Dobel, tequila, have you ever tried that? I was introduced to that tequila, in Disney, at the margarita stand, of all places. It has a background butterscotch flavor to me. Keep in mind, DD says I have corrupted taste buds at my age. Maybe so, it still tastes mighty good to me. Thanks for the invite!
Me too, Jennifer.Me, I take all prayers offered.
I need all the help I can get.![]()
I know where I'm having dinner
So glad to hear it, most of us had our "times, with mouthy" teenagers. Me included. It's amazing how they come around when they have kids of their own.Better, actually.
See, someone's prayers are working.
The same is true of my consumption of adult beveragesYup, me too.![]()
I hope she has room for two. (At least), lets see who wants to join us. Should be lots of fun....I know where I'm having dinner![]()
