For me, they make sense. Yes, my tuition is not cheap (cheaper than for many, but still not cheap), but I have a 35-45 minute commute, and I go to a small school, so sometimes there is only one or two in-class sections. For one of the classes I'm taking online, there were three sections. Two conflicted with the gen eds (which are Honors sections, one of each, and I need them to graduate) and the other was at 8 am on Mondays. I do not see the sense in taking a class only to do poorly in it because of something silly like it being too early in the morning. My body just doesn't work at that hour, and that's all there is to it.

I'm going to need to go back to the doctor once vacation is over. I still have the bump where the ligament is attached. Pain-wise, I have good days and days where it hurts so badly that I'm in tears.

Funny story with the hand: I was walking through this open-air mall when this surfer dude (he had a bathing suit and no shirt on and was with a bunch of guys with surf boards) comes up to me. At first I thought he was a vender (they were always talking to us, and it's Hawaii, so ignoring them would be considered beyond rude here) but he wasn't. He comes up to me and asked what happened. I told him I tore a ligament, and he asked if I was still in pain (I am). He says, "Well, I would like to pray for you if that would be alright..."

o_O:cyclops: I've been hit on before, but, "I'd like to pray for you" is a new one.:hilarious: I politely declined and walked away. My mother, who was standing there the whole time, was just like: :jawdrop:
they now claim their actions are "praying the pain away" ? :hilarious:

We were perfectly fine!

The storms were aiming at us so we went to the basement. We got the winds and some rain but that was it. The Tornado portion of the storm made a weird turn and started heading South and East so we were out of harms way by the time. Fortunate.

We are now wondering about our next property over neighbors. They are camping, we know their property is in a gated camp ground out near where the one that was run over last night. Will have to look out for their friends that are watching the home and ask.

All and all there were 6 communities I've heard of over a large portion of Northern IL hit. Plus the high winds of the storms earlier in the day of 95 mph. Crazy.
talk about luck!
Imagine if that cloud hadnt turned D:

That's pretty true of all of us. We have things that we're proud of, and others that we're not so proud of. My ancestors were pioneers who came to a new world. They also were (most likely) slave owners and likely forced Native Americans off their land. All we can do is learn from their mistakes
I so agree, my mother is German, and Dad is Native American....I have much to think about, when it comes to heritage. I always "as Mom said, went for what she called the underdog, her expression, not mine"....My two best friends, that I kept until we moved were black and a girl with a cleft palate. I saw how the other kids treated them, and I hated it. They remained my friends when we befriended each other in high school. To Dad's delight, as he was a minority, and to Mom's embarrassment. As a person with very deep feelings, I want no one to experience what they went through. I love Jennie M. and Paula S. My truly best friends. :inlove:

You, lady, have traumatized me from drinking from one of those ever again
Funny, Star Wars Girl.... I will drink out of anything as long as it contains my favorite drinks, sodas, or margarita's or water. I have a small margarita most days, as it keeps the good cholesterol up . I have very bad cholesterol, and I have meat once in a while...eggs, are whites, and use olive oil....only once in a while real butter. As Doctor says, it's in the genes....No matter how hard you try, the numbers just doesn't always work out.

I thought you also had some dairy issues
I limit my dairy, especially when my asthma is bad. Cheese is the exception. I cut it out from my diet completely in high school. Now I do a little a day (for instance, a bowl of cereal with real milk in the morning or ice cream at night) and don't worry about small amounts as much. So I don't tell them at restaurants; I just don't order ice cream if I know I shouldn't eat it.:)

At this rate, I wonder if this thread will transform into a medical one.
too many pass, we might as well do a "quadruple bypass" surgery.

Jen has been known to use them for other purposes besides drinking.:hilarious:

The abbreviation of my name (SWG or SWG95) is fine. Or my first name, Missy.:) I know Starwarsgirl95 is a lot to type out.

The next day LOL you had it easy I wouldn't have seen the next hour! Not to mention the threat of getting shipped off to a convent! And my kids think I'm strict! Maybe a little. I did say something to me ds when he didn't get a 100 average in a subject because I know he didn't study at all! I can be a bit of a tiger mom!:D
Mom threatened me and sis with reform school. Sounded so bad , it straighten me out immediately, sis....not so much. She was the strongest person, I have ever known. I wish we had each other's trait's and combine it into one person. I admired her a lot, as I was the softy, therefore, the "black" sheep in the family.
