Lupper I have teen boys that eat a meal between lunch and dinner Especially when they are outside burning up all the food!

That doesn't sound good. Of course, I'm hours later here (early morning) reading your post of last night--I hope the storms passed by without incident.

We were perfectly fine!

The storms were aiming at us so we went to the basement. We got the winds and some rain but that was it. The Tornado portion of the storm made a weird turn and started heading South and East so we were out of harms way by the time. Fortunate.

We are now wondering about our next property over neighbors. They are camping, we know their property is in a gated camp ground out near where the one that was run over last night. Will have to look out for their friends that are watching the home and ask.

All and all there were 6 communities I've heard of over a large portion of Northern IL hit. Plus the high winds of the storms earlier in the day of 95 mph. Crazy.

Its like a soup, made of boiled shrimp, octopus, snail, scallops with tomato paste, spices.
some put finely sliced tomatoes, onion and avocado.

They spice it up with lemon, ketchup sauce and spicy sauce to complement.

Ewe. I saw @donaldtoo recipes, I'd eat his Americanized version. Snails, octopus, not so much.

aaah, good choice, I love the arrachera cut there.
I usually skip the eggs if I'm going to a restaurant.
Nothing like a good platter of chilaquiles, flautas or arrachera.

Yes, that looks great, more my style!

its funny when you hear the uproar of sharks killing people.
yet noone mentions that sharks are killing by the hundread of thousands for their fins (and they dump the live shark to die back to the water).

What are shark fins used for? I've never heard of using shark fins for anything.

You know, you may be on to something here. Somehow, salad sounds more appealing to me if you put it in a tortilla, or a pita pocket with mayo or dressing.

I usually buy the carb balance tortilla's, that adds the protein. The taste of those tortilla's takes a little getting used to. They don't taste like regular tortilla. Or I do regular tortilla, and add a 1/8 cup of pinto or black beans. That's yummy too. The regular tortilla's are cheaper. The can of pinto or black beans (Bush's), will last about a week. So economical too!

I am sitting in the sun doing absolutely nothing. It's glorious.

Good for you, I love that kind of vacation. Along with a beach book, I'm good! Glad you are having a great time.

They are great, but Aulani's pool blows this place out of the water. Better than Stormalong Bay at WDW. Plus I'm looking forward to snorkeling in the lagoon. I'll be ready to get out of Honolulu and Waikiki and get to a more secluded part of the island (reminder: I live next to a farm. I'm not a city girl). But in the meantime, this is lovely.

Since we are DVC members, Aulani is actually cheaper for us, plus we'll have a kitchen and will make some meals in, so this is the splurging part of the vacation.

Can't wait to see pictures of Aulani.

I vaguely recall seeing part of a story about this, and I think it was a foreign nation (not the U.S.) that had people who did this. Awful.

Human's can be sooo cruel.

And you still have Aulani to look forward to! We were there last year and I totally agree the pool is far superior than Stormalong. Can't beat those cool slides and lazy river.

I love the lazy river. That's so relaxing...

Got our MBs the other day! And in true crazy cat person fashion, here's a pic of kitty being overwhelmed by the power of the MBs!!

Your kitty is adorable. Looks sweet too. I love watching animals sleep, they don't have a care in the world. I just saw her name is Bootsie. Magical!

Nasty nasty radar. Tornadoes on ground in Northern Illinois. So far we are holding our own.

95 mph winds before at Illinois Iowa and Wisconsin intersection. Oy.

So sorry to hear about another bad storm, you can't get a break this spring and now into summer. I wish for all, it would just stop already.

What are shark fins used for? I've never heard of using shark fins for anything.

It's a very sad thing! Some people cut off the fins and use them for soup, just throw the rest of the poor shark back to die!

Out of the basement. More and more tornadoes are hitting. We have people that have been hit in a camp site in campers and motor homes by the tornado leveling the gas station near by. The storm is not letting up and is just spinning off more and more tornadoes. The tornado line is at least south and east of us now. Hate this.

I hate it for you. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. It's hard to see people lose so much, and the lives lost. Thoughts, and prayers for all those who have been affected.
