aaah, good choice, I love the arrachera cut there.
I usually skip the eggs if I'm going to a restaurant.
Nothing like a good platter of chilaquiles, flautas or arrachera.

its funny when you hear the uproar of sharks killing people.
yet noone mentions that sharks are being killed by the hundred of thousands for their fins (and they dump the live shark to die back to the water).

I know, right?? I saw a documentary about that and it made me absolutely sick to see them throwing them back in the water like that. I don't understand in this day and age how such a practice can be legal.

I love a "salad" sandwich. I eat that when I need something else to fill me up. I put all the salad fixin's on a tortilla, a little touch of mayo, or dressing. Yum, yum.

You know, you may be on to something here. Somehow, salad sounds more appealing to me if you put it in a tortilla, or a pita pocket with mayo or dressing.

Oddly enough, I had just assumed you got the beer in cans. I haven't a clue why I thought that. I don't drink beer, but I know it comes in cans and bottles, and I thought you were a can man! (Can man--did I just make up a name for a subgroup of men who drink beer out of cans here?)

SafT suckers are the only ones allowed for treats in our preschool. It's more a safety feature so the stick doesn't poke an eye.

That's interesting and good to know. I never had children, so I'm unaware of these hidden dangers for toddlers.

Some trip updates.

Saturday we went for a long walk on the beach. We ended up a mile away.

It was a photo op spot. The guy let me take her picture and hold her, which was very cool. Her name is Aloha because that's what she says.

Then we went and got lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and went back and swam in that beautiful ocean water.

Yesterday we climbed Diamond Head and did some driving. My mom took all of the pictures, so those will come later. I need to use my laptop to get them off.

They have the most perfect rainbows out here. This was on our way to dinner (P.F. Changs. Yes, we could pick more exciting options. Anyway...)

We're all rather tired from the past few days, so we are planning on hanging out here at the resort.

Sounds like you're having all kinds of fun. Maybe you all should just stay there and cancel Aulani? Guess you probably won't do that, but I must say that the hotel and activities, restaurants, etc. where you're at now, seem great.

Bonjour again! Western ending our day early as wea going to Versailles early tomorrow. Spent the day at notre dame (climbed the 400 steps to the top) said hi to gargoyles. Then explored the area, ate good food and sat at hemmingway's table at les deux maggots cafe. I have taken a ton of pics on my regular camera but for some reason I still can't upload I don't know why. We'll have a good evening! Bon soir!

Fabulous!! Looking forward to hearing about all the historical places you're visiting, and of course--the FOOD!!

They are great, but Aulani's pool blows this place out of the water. Better than Stormalong Bay at WDW. Plus I'm looking forward to snorkeling in the lagoon. I'll be ready to get out of Honolulu and Waikiki and get to a more secluded part of the island (reminder: I live next to a farm. I'm not a city girl). But in the meantime, this is lovely.

Since we are DVC members, Aulani is actually cheaper for us, plus we'll have a kitchen and will make some meals in, so this is the splurging part of the vacation.

I vaguely recall seeing part of a story about this, and I think it was a foreign nation (not the U.S.) that had people who did this. Awful.
