Safety Pops were around when I was little. They were the first Lolli's I let my kids have. That stick can be leathal to little kids. But then again my DS choked in the backseat of the car on a lifesaver and my DD choked on Pixie Stick Dust in the Mansions of POR.

I've had skills tested in the Heimlich.

O.k. Idiot disclaimer ahead: you've been warned--

I read in a magazine about how you can make frozen yogurt pops. It looked easy enough, so I went to BB & Beyond and bought some (popsicle-style) freezer molds. I then mixed the yogurt, vanilla, honey and 6 oz. of blueberries and 6 oz. of blackberries together. Divided that up into the 6 molds and put in freezer for 8 hours.

Mentioned my frozen treat masterpiece to hubby. He said, "Did you try out the new blender?" ( We had just bought a new Oster blender this past week.) I said, "Huh? What does the blender have to do with my frozen yogurt?" He said, "Oh, I just assumed you'd have blended up the fruit and mixed it into the yogurt." . . . what??! I was supposed to what??!!) It NEVER dawned on marble head here, that "blend" meant to put the fruit into a blender!!!

So, 8 hours later, I took out one of frozen treats and the frozen yogurt was tasty and all but the blueberries and blackberries were like these frozen little rocks inside!

I always wondered.. Aulani has MB or just classic cards?

I know they distribute cards still. I don't know if they are RFID or classic room keys. My guess is RFID as Hilton Head is RFID now. Will let you know.

I brought a MB to test on the door if it is an RFID lock.

Oh my, I love me some sweet potatoes. Mashed with a little brown sugar, and sweet potato fries are my favourite.

Apparently the hatred started when I was a baby. My mom tried to feed me sweet potato baby food, and I stuck my tongue out with the food still on it. She got the message. The last time I tried them was sweet potato fries in Disneyland (if you're ever out there, the Hungry Bear has them). And I still didn't like them. Oh well. Some things never change.

Meanwhile, I've never seen "safety pop" lollipops. For eons, lollipops have been in a straight stick. Why would some company want to change that? Those need to be recalled, I say!!

SafT suckers are the only ones allowed for treats in our preschool. It's more a safety feature so the stick doesn't poke an eye.

Some trip updates.

Saturday we went for a long walk on the beach. We ended up a mile away.



We stopped along the way. Saw this:

It was a photo op spot. The guy let me take her picture and hold her, which was very cool. Her name is Aloha because that's what she says.

Then we went and got lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and went back and swam in that beautiful ocean water.

Yesterday we climbed Diamond Head and did some driving. My mom took all of the pictures, so those will come later. I need to use my laptop to get them off.

They have the most perfect rainbows out here. This was on our way to dinner (P.F. Changs. Yes, we could pick more exciting options. Anyway...)

We're all rather tired from the past few days, so we are planning on hanging out here at the resort.
