When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Yesterday's Zander's pics.
Hubby knows I don't like tomatoes (duh! who doesn't know?) and jalapeños, so he requested that they leave those off one "side" of the nacho plate.

Better yet, Erica (our favourite server) had the kitchen split them onto two plates.

I only ate about a fifth, as I wasn't particularly hungry.

To round out the evening, we ordered 6 zucchini fritters - brought 4 home, and the 3-cheese dip - brought most of that home too.

And bonus food pics, tonight's dinner, consisting entirely of leftovers.

Four fritters, Zander's sauce, and 1/2 turkey & provolone sandwich from Costco - the reason I wasn't hungry last night.

With milk, of course:

(My eyes were bigger than my belly. While I managed to eat all 4 fritters, and drink all the milk, I was done after one bite of the sammich.)
Son #2 was happy to take it off my hands. :joyfull:

Jennifer, where is your milk? You and I always have moo juice with our dinner, remember?

You do know you don't have to pay extra and your brother is eligible for free preboarding? My friend's daughter (autistic) needs a window seat. They get a blue preboard pass.
Yes. We don't do it for two reasons: not all four of us can go at once. It could end up being fine for one person to preboard with hin, but he might get insistent on everyone else being there. Hard to predict. I suppose my mom could preboard with him and I could request to preboard on account of my peanut allergy (I already ask that they not serve peanuts on the plane; I'm allowed to request to preboard, but I don't) and then pay for only one person.

But the other reason is that my parents have always had the mentality of treating him as "normally" as possible. He was 11 when we first used the GAC. We had always just used FP, but during our trip to DL two years ago, he was becoming too stressed out and we were having a miserable vacation. When it was GAC, we used it sparingly, and if we could tell that the line was 30 minutes or less or that we could get a FP, that was what we did. Now we use the DAS in combination with FP+ and actually like that better. We know that he's entitled to preboard, but since we can get in the A group by checking in and home and then get home by paying extra, I think they would rather do that and feel like they are't taking advantage of the system.

Granted, there are some who would need more accommodations, and I don't fault them for using it, nor would my parents, but my parents' philosophy is that accommodations are a privilege and you treat them accordingly. It's a very fine line between using accommodations because you genuinely use them and using them just because you're entitled to them. Maybe there are others who would make a different decision or say that there is no need to spend the extra money, but they would feel guilty.

I drink water. It's free.
Milk and soda both run about $3.00. That's a big old pass!
Depends. When I'm at a restaurant, I'll drink between 4-6 Diet Cokes while there. I get my money's worth. Now at places where there are no refills or they only have Pepsi, I either drink water or bring my own.

There's a restaurant in Camden Yards called Dempsy's. We go there a good bit, especially before night games. Sodas run about $4.50 a piece. Outside, they run $5. Dempsy's is free refills on any soft drink AND they give you one to take with you.

Depends on if you'll get your money's worth.

I wasn't trying to be an , just saying you didn't have to pay. Our friend is a SW gate employee and she says she often gets that request.

Horrid and lets not forget 20 injured police officers two of which are in serious condition. Prayers.
Still have not heard about our friend who is a police officer. Hoping no news is good news.

Also rather concerned because the police report is scheduled to be released Friday on the incident. If the report says the officers are not at fault...oy.

I don't think it will say that, as the report said he should have received medical care, but you have to worry anyway with what's been happening. And then if it says that there wasn't, could this spread?

So much uncertainty.

I rather go to Allies Donuts. The donuts at Dunkin are pathetic after you've tried those. Not to mention, I go bye 2 Dunkins on my way to the highway

I looked at the link and Allies looks yummy. We have a lovely bakery around here too and Dunkin can't compete.
But it is like comparing Burger King to Red Robin, neither tries to pretend they are in the same category. I like Dunkin donuts but like Krispy Kreem better.

I found this on a site entitled.... Not Always Right. I think we all know who the Customer was. I won't mention any names but her initials are @JenniferS.

Fast Food
, Restaurant | Peterborough, ON, Canada | Extra Stupid, Food & Drink

(I’m working in the back making orders. One comes up on the screen for a burger, no tomato. The cashier gets my attention.)

Cashier: “[My Name], that ‘no tomato’ is an allergy.”

(I go through the normal process of swapping utensils, cleaning the work area and so forth. I start making the burger and pause halfway as a thought occurs.)

Me: “Hey, [Cashier], that tomato allergy? It’s no ketchup either, then?”

(The cashier asks.)

Cashier: “No, they said it’s fine. Actually they want extra.”
