I can honestly say that after close to 55 years of dealing with, working on and being involved with motor vehicles, I have never heard of that happening even once. Is that a Mexican thing? Color me puzzled!

Yep, never heard of motors fallin' outta' cars before, but, I've definitely heard of motor mounts goin' bad and leadin' to all kinds of other unpleasant problems...

no, but they warned it could happen.
I got a family member who sells parts and they say it sort of happens, but the engine would just fall down from the car.
I honestly know nothing of cars...

Yep, down possibly, but, not out.

Dunno, but the car is almost 13 years old now.
Used alot by my late father.

The issue of local mechanics is.. they do not always check the entire engine.
they just check the compter and write youa check.
I suspect the computer on my car doesn't work very well, because they never find what is wrong with the engine.

UNTIL an electrical expert was checking the cabling, and found that there was a big hole in the engine's waterpump.

noone, not even the "experts" of the Ford company found the hole. which made me hate the "experts" who work there.

Yea, well too many times "expert" mechanics are expert, alright...

Thanks for responding to my question. You were the only one here who seemed to care about my question except for Jennifer asking what restaurants we were going to. After that, crickets.
So I thank you for caring enough to not ignore a question I had. I don't have much experience with the dining plan and I trusted everyone's opinion here. Jennifer asked a similar question and got so much information and that's great but I was ignored.
Yes my daughter is going but she is not on our package. So it's just me and my on on the package where I would add the dining plan.
Now I think I'm going to excuse myself from this thread for a couple of days because I'm a little hurt.

I didn't respond because, as you stated about yourself, I simply don't have much experience with/know enough about it.
Granted, we've done it twice (in the summers of '12 and '13), but I had nothing to do with it other than the 50% CM discount. DWifey did all the planning for those trips, using my CM ID number, and I only got on the phone if it was absolutely necessary. I don't even know what the plan was called, but, we each got a snack, a QS/CS, and a table service per day.
I, generally, tend not to comment on things where I feel my input wouldn't contribute anything of worth.
Ask a question about Disney history, cars, or architecture, and I'm more likely to comment if I feel it's of worth.
I did like your post 'cause I was so happy for y'all.

Yep, the usual luncheon where some company or other is tryin' to get us to recommend their product. They pay for and bring the food.

As silly as this sounds, the first time I ride the monorail during each vacation, and hear the spiel (in English and Spanish), I always think, "I'm really here at Disney World!!!" And, if I'm not mistaken, isn't it the same voice they've used for years? There's something comforting and uplifting about that man's voice!

Sadly it changed in 2012. Far more wordy and less enthusiastic. I also miss that deeper warm voice of yesteryear. They changed the voice of the Magic Kingdom at the same time. My favorite monorail spiel was Jack Wagner's version. Now that was a nice voice.

Thanks! It reminded me of the ones my grandmothers used to wear.

Especially, when they'd strap on their bonnet, apron, and hatchet to head to the hen house for some soup hens...!!!

So, I have two thoughts about this group member.

First thought: she may have never had any kind of responsibility imposed upon her, while growing up. She may have never had any sort of part-time job in her teens, while still going to school. In other words, she knows nothing about the concept of accountability, to her fellow group members.

Second thought: she may be aware of both responsibility and accountability, but she is scared of failure; therefore, she comes up with lame excuses not to join the group and pull her own weight.

Whether she's one or the other, she's not ready for college-level learning.

I'm going to go with your first theory. She comes across as very spoiled. I don't think she realizes how much we bend over backwards for her, and we get very little in return. The whiny emails I've gotten in response have just reinforced this. I loved the attempt at flattery. It ain't workin'

I had a Facebook group chat with everyone else, and we've basically decided that she needs to be off the team. Subpar work + not attending group meetings=off the team. So we're going to approach her tomorrow. So looking forward to this.

And this is why I like this:

So weird thing happened at work. A kid who I went to high school with and who I used to bowl with while a wee little lad, his mom works there too. She was like you look familiar.

I had this happen to me at the dentist. The dental hygienist was about to start cleaning my teeth a couple weeks ago and right when I was about to open my mouth she asked me for my maiden name because I looked familiar. Once she took off her face mask I recognized her but it was an awkward teeth cleaning.

I'm probably the only person who noticed this, but I burst out laughing when I saw that your hubby (in 2 of the pictures) was leaning close to the table, and had his hands planted on the table (sort of in a fist). I see a man very territorial of his feast (and he should be! ) and would pounce on anyone who tried to sneak a bite off the platter!

(This also reminds me a little of my dog guarding his food bowl. He hovers over it, while looking around to make sure no other person or animal will swipe any of his food! Maybe it's a "guy" thing? )

Oh Wow, I didn't notice that. Maybe he doesn't like foodie pic's as much as we do?

My dog loves socks, she loves to shake them and run around the house with them. My old dog, who passed in January, loved my husband's underwear (gross I know!) he would even dig them out of the laundry basket.

Yep, have found more than enough pairs of underwear over the years in the back yard that had obviously passed through a canine digestive tract.

Good luck, at least your whole team feels like this about her too. It sounds like you've all given her a fair shake.

Yup, sorry @seahawk7 . Tuesdays are my busy day, and I've had a really busy week, so basically all I've had time to do is skim posts. No time to catch up other than following up on quoted posts. Otherwise, I would have responded. I can go back and look.

BOG breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern dinner, Mama Melrose Fantasmic package, Boma dinner, Via Napoli, Rose and Crown dinner, Via Napoli (again), Trails End breakfast, Trails End dinner ( it's our Fort Wilderness day to rent a golf cart and ride around), Biergarten lunch, BOG dinner, Ohana dinner, Hoop Dee Doo, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, BOG lunch, Tutti Italia lunch, San Angel dinner

The only one that I would be wary of is Biergarten. If you've been there before and liked it, go for it. But we hated it the one time we were there. There are better Epcot options (Chefs de France would be my choice). I'm also not sure the Fantasmic dinner package is worth it. They tend to have FPs for Fantasmic left over, so you'd be better off using your three and then grabbing a Fantasmic FP. Mama Melrose's also tends to be hit or miss. Can you get into Prime Time? That one tends to be better IMO. Probably best DHS table service.
