Are those Disney playing cards? They're very colorful. :)

They're the cards for the Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom. They interact with various spots in fantasyland, adventureland, and frontierland. DS would just play that all day everyday on vacation if I let him. He's in the "trading card" phase of life. (We also have oodles of Pokemon cards.)

SOMK is actually pretty cool. There are different levels to complete, and you get a free pack of cards each day you play. :)

After Tammy left, we finally got FP ride the 7DMT. I am of two minds about it. It's a lovely smooth little coaster with one neat show scene, but by golly, it's short!

Totally useless pic, sorry.

And then, lunch:

The chips were so dog-gone good, that I actually ate them all this time.

But not all of my sandwich or dessert.
Hubby to the rescue!
Which place did you chose for lunch?

I like both, but for some odd reason, I slightly prefer the simpler one (the pumpkin). Did you make these yourself? Reminds me of the cool things that @Soarin' Over Pgh can make.

Well that is 2 Pumpkins.

No I didn't make them, my DS sent them to me. :inlove: Alternating doesn't work for me 'cause I can hardly remember to change the topper, I'm often off by weeks or miss a Holiday altogether. Our garage is at the back of our property, not attached so we shall see how long it takes to get it out to the car.

I love me some Disney pins. No trading though, just collecting. :)

We don't trade pins either. DS and I get very attached to inanimate objects and most of out pins have special memories connected to them. For example, we got a pin when he did Jedi Training and one for riding Everest. I've been collecting the resort pins as we stay in the different resorts, moo. :)

We trade the cards because you get so many doubles. It makes it fun to try and find a card you don't have.

Now, I really want to go!!

After lunch, we FP'd Haunted Mansion again, walked through NFL looking for my "boyfriend" Gaston (MIA AGAIN ), rode Under the Sea, toured Storybook Circus (or whatever the heck it's called), watched some candy being made in the tent, rode Space Mountain, and the PeopleMover.

After that, we left the park. Mike had a swim - too chilly for me.

We then had a romantic tour around the resort, and had coffee by the waterside.

Tammy has been fortified with Saltines and Sprite, and we are headed off to Epcot/dinner without her. :(
EMH at Epcot tonight, and I'm hoping I can convince Mike to hang around for a bit. San Angel Inn - here I come!

Tell Tammy to get well, soon!
Enjoy y'alls meal and have fun...! :)

I wonder if they still have this at Animal Kingdom? I'll have to do research but I had this one year for lunch. Awesome. Food is good for me at Disney. Drinks are the hard part. Thankfully we go in the middle of May where your not thirsty all the time. But I don't drink soda or Dasani (I can taste the salt).

Only $4. Which admittedly is a lot for something so small but it fills me up.

That looks yummy. Is it yogurt or pudding?

The Dasani salt thing to me is irrelevant as tap water often has more salt in it than Dasani's.
.5mg per 8 ounces. Milk has 125mg per 8 ounces.

GREAT NEWS DISNEY PEOPLE

We might be going to Cape May Cafe when we go to Disney!!!!!!!!! Bring on the seafood :joyfull:

I eat like a whole small plate of shrimp piled on at Trail's End so I can only imagine how this would be. Though I don't see lobster and scallops on the menu. :(

Although I haven't been to Cape May, I do know that menus change up from time to time, not to mention some daily specials. I read that they have shrimp on the menu, and you indicated you liked that. :)

Just shows you what a ridiculous markup that they hit the general public with. I am curious though. I wonder if the bill comes to the same thing if you don't have the dining plan. Never do either so I just wonder if it is possible that with the dining plan you might see some different numbers just to make it look like a terrific deal.

That bill alone is just a bit under what I spend to feed myself for an entire month.

Yes it does. We've played around with numbers. If we had to pay for the dining plan we would not purchase it.
There is a calculator that I believe All Ears has to see if it pans out for each family. Time and time again they say Disney Wins if you have to use 2 dining credits for one meal, it would be cheaper then to pay for that same meal out of pocket if vs buying the those 2 credits, (obviously free is different.) Our issue is we don't eat dessert normally with a meal and at table service we often have an adult beverage and that negates the free standard beverage cost cause we don't get it. Dessert for a family of 4 generally about $40, now add tax and tip on that. It would never be beneficial for my family if I paid rack rate.

But with my DS we get the plan at a 50% discount. Last time I went to see him I believe it was $25 a piece out of pocket for the 1TS 1CS snack and plastic mug. That was well worth it.

When my DD and I went down discounted we only did the CS meal plan cause we did not want to be tied to ADRs like I am when I am vacationing with DS. I think it was just over $15 day for 2CS, snack and plastic mug. Again very well worth it and sometimes we'd use that snack for our breakfast in the morning and no tipping.

I only did the DP once without a discount and it was worth it but times they did a change down south. Back then we had 1TS, that included the drink, appetizer, entree, dessert and tip plus 1CS 2 snacks and a mug. First the tip and appetizer went and it was $1 cheaper :cautious: the next cut was tootles to one of the two snacks. So no, I would not pay rack rate for it but at 50% off heck yeah.

Me too. I can just eat salad and breadsticks and be happy.

The breadsticks are my least favorite part, they do nothing for me, go figure, so family eats my share. Did you hear the bean counters are pushing for the bread sticks to be an add on charge now, they figure they could sell each order for $4-5. :cautious: What sit down Italian restaurant does put bread on the table?

I guess Olive Garden isn't so stable now so the Beans are trying to right the ship, sadly those little things can sink the leaking vessel.

Glad the political hoohaw is done with for now. Our school levy failed but that was a given. They wanted money for each student to have a personal laptop during the school year, kindergarten to seniors. I've seen kids at the playground beating up trees and throwing rocks into the woods. Imagine how they'll take care of the laptop at home.

Amen! We have a great deal of upheaval here but so glad it is done!

We considered iPads but in schools that have done that have made kids targets for theft. Many have been mugged for those iPads. Parents sign that if they are broken or stolen they will be charged to replace them. Don't sign, don't get one.

Our students have iPads but they do not leave the building and are in crash cases. What text books that are on the iPads are also available on the district website to use at home on their personal equipment. If they do not have personal equipment they can check out a text book to go home. The tech has improved test scores with the lower scoring students. Assignments are online as is the textbooks so parents have easy access to homework/projects/test dates so more of the percentage of the students that didn't do it are now doing more. But where it made it worth it to me is the students that have harsh reading issues. The text books will read to you if that option is activated by staff. So those kids that read assignments but were not comprehending are now scoring better on tests for learning the material in a different manner. It is a win for some of the special needs students.
