Oh dear . . . glad that you had the free dining for this trip. Looking at receipts like the ones you've been posting, reinforce the fact that the nicer restaurants at WDW are way out of my reach.

I just don't. Now Free is great. Me, I just won't very often at all pay that type of money for a meal.

There is a watch thread for who is moving into Disney Springs. I posted the menu/prices for the very nice steak house from Chicago which I have dined at that is moving into Springs. I look at what material object I could have purchased with that kind of money and I questioned which demographic Disney is playing to with all these high end restaurants as it would cost me $400 for my family for dinner. One member came back and said he thought the prices were reasonable. Me, I look at Olive Garden as reasonable table service.

By the way, I am enjoying sharing my trip with you, even though Mike and Tammy are majorly making fun of me.

Tomorrow is an MK day, so we will have Christmas decoration pics.
Dinner, which I don't even want to think about, is at San Angel Inn @EPCOT.
Not having steak!

Tomorrow is also the 3rd anniversary of my mom passing. Words cannot express ....

And now I have to check in on my somewhat neglected Farm.
Thank you, thank you for sharing your trip. Have you dined at San Angel before? Hugs for you for memories of your mom. I still think of my dad all the time and he passed in 2003.

I wonder if they still have this at Animal Kingdom? I'll have to do research but I had this one year for lunch. Awesome. Food is good for me at Disney. Drinks are the hard part. Thankfully we go in the middle of May where your not thirsty all the time. But I don't drink soda or Dasani (I can taste the salt).

Only $4. Which admittedly is a lot for something so small but it fills me up.

Just shows you what a ridiculous markup that they hit the general public with. I am curious though. I wonder if the bill comes to the same thing if you don't have the dining plan. Never do either so I just wonder if it is possible that with the dining plan you might see some different numbers just to make it look like a terrific deal.

That bill alone is just a bit under what I spend to feed myself for an entire month.

Tammy, all of a sudden wasn't feeling well, so she had most of hers wrapped to go. Dessert too.
I ate all of my potatoes and veg. Lobster too. I had just a few bites of the steak, which was delicious, but just too much to finish. Hubby finished his. And then mine.

Dessert:
Sorbet for Mike:

Creme brûlée for me, as per usual:

Glad the political hoohaw is done with for now. Our school levy failed but that was a given. They wanted money for each student to have a personal laptop during the school year, kindergarten to seniors. I've seen kids at the playground beating up trees and throwing rocks into the woods. Imagine how they'll take care of the laptop at home.

Your dad is a sweetie, looking out for you. :angelic:

I only had dinner one time, ages ago, in San Angel. It was a very pleasant experience. I just love the atmosphere in there, and have always thought it was one of the better themed areas of Epcot.
Yup. He drives me crazy half the time, but he does look after all of us. He's also come a long way from when he offered me peanuts on the plane back in middle school:joyfull:. Although he did call the epi pen an allergy stick a few weeks ago. Took us a good three minutes before I got what he meant.

San Angel really needs to pilot a nut-free menu. Having three entrees (the fourth that I can't eat is a shrimp entrée, migraine trigger for me) that I can't eat because of nuts is silly, and since nuts are a common allergy, they need the two versions of the menu like they were testing at SciFi and others recently.
