I’m concerned about the tree incident. How bad is the damage?
This happened back in May when we were in Disneyland. We got a storm with 80 mph winds, and a tree came down. It fell on the front of the house. Fortunately, the paladium window we had came from Canada and was built to withstand blizzards, so it meant that the damage wasn't as bad. Most of the damage was to the main foyer, but the ceiling in my parents' room was badly damaged. They lost some furniture and clothing. Then flooring needed redoing in the family room and main foyer. It honestly could have been much worse. Cats were obviously both rescued. Poor Ella must have been hit by debris because she was injured (slipped disc). She's fully recovered, albeit still a little traumatized. Jasmine was fine.

Unfortunately, the tree couldn't take out the ugly painting that was DIRECTLY IN THE PATH. Figures.

Hopefully that painting can't be seen from front room window.

I brought up front room window because Oldman Parker from Christmas Story put leg lamp by front room window. Everyone who walked or drive by Oldman Parker's house could see that lamp.

Even so that sucks especially for Ella. I’m glad she’s doing okay. We had a tree fall on our old house during hurricane irema while we were staying at port Orleans: riverside. It hit right above my parents bedroom. On the bright side I never heard from whatever was living in our walls again after that.

Sometimes during the bad times the powers that be give us small miracles to be thankful for.

@donaldtoo -- just an fyi that Mecum Kissimmee is on today (12 noon, EASTERN).

To avoid "pay" channels like ESPN+ (or ROKU Mecum TV Streaming), see link below for the "free" LIVE BLOCK CAM.

AFTER 12:00 EST today, if you click on the (Mecum TV Times link below) -- you'll see a bunch of auction dates. Scroll down BEYOND all the DATES, and you'll see : More Ways to Watch Mecum Moments.

Avoid the left-side (ROKU) panel. Instead, see the right-side panel for the Live Block Cam -- click on the "Watch on YouTube" box tab. Again, the auction comes "live" around noon EST.

There were some funny things with all of that. Ceiling was gone but the chandelier was hanging on. 🤣

I also have this plant that I rescued from my first job. It was basically a twig when I got it. Well, now it's like eight feet tall and goes up there because that's where it fits. When the tree hit, I was like "well, there goes my plant."

Nope. Plant is fine. That thing will probably survive the apocalypse.
