It's anything that the person can operate that helps them move around. Cane, walker, scooter, wheelchair, if it aids moving around for functioning daily, it's a mobility aid. They might have come up with the mobility aid thing. I don't know when that started. During my back issue I was required to use four things, the first one was a walker, then a wheelchair. Later in the recovery there were things that vaguely looked like a fancy wheelchair that was known as a mobility aid and even a scooter falls into that category. However, it wouldn't surprise me that NASA may have coined the Mobility Aid identity.
Its the food for my family for years. For me, its corned Beef. For my parents, its cabbage and potato bake. This is an embarrassing question but what do people normally do for saint Patrick’s day? In my house “the leprechaun” brings us a gift and that’s pretty much it .
C'mon . . . not just holidays . . .There is always food involved at a holiday at Figgy's
Winter will come back in December. Sadly, the days where we get snow storms in April are gone.
Yah, April tends to be more rain than snow, with some exceptions over the past few years. As for here, I think we're getting some snow flurries tomorrow, but that's it for a while.Winter will come back in December. Sadly, the days where we get snow storms in April are gone.

Somehow I failed to remember the cane part of that mobility thing. That part lasted the longest. In fact, I still use on occasionally if I am on unfamiliar grounds. Even when playing golf I use the club as a mobility aid more than I like to admit. It's anything that the person can operate that helps them move around. A stretcher is for patient transport. You wouldn't use it in daily life, so not a mobility aid
I have no idea why I know this... *sigh*
If I had to guess, I'd say that those astronauts didn't train for an extended stay in space since it wasn't planned, and so their mussles may have atrophied from the extended time away from gravity. Hence the wheelchair. Or that they never would have ordinarily been cleared for months and months in space. The videos astronauts post showing the crazy stuff they do to ensure their mussles don't atrophy away from gravity is, well, insane, along with how long they have to spend working out daily.
I did read that the extended stay is going to have ill effects on their health because it was unplanned.
Famous last words? Major blizzards, I agree, but snow in April is still quite common for a lot of the north. It brings back memories of my Daughters wedding on April 8th in Vermont. The day started as a warm 70 degrees and by the time the night was over we had 10 inches of snow and the airport was closed. They missed the departure of their cruise ship and had a massive mess trying to catch up with it in Cozumel. Not a good way to start a marriage, sleeping on an air mattress on my livingroom floor. It did make it unforgettable for them as well as me. I spent the day on the phone with the travel agent trying to set up the process. Pre-cellphone days so not the simplest way of dealing with anything.Winter will come back in December. Sadly, the days where we get snow storms in April are gone.
But it usually doesn't last long most days...C'mon . . . not just holidays . . .![]()
My coworkers were shocked when I told them Hersheypark opens in April. They're like, wait, isn't it still too cold? It is not, in fact, not here. And then when I took off for Orioles opening day in March, my boss was like...what? Yes, baseball starts in March. But apparently the Red Sox don't ever open at home just in case.Famous last words?
