Many of us don't. (I can't even keep up with the various forums here on wdwmagic, let alone joining some other apps. Can't be bothered.)

I have IG for posting to friends and the same for FB. I follow very few outside of a few friends and a few crafters/sewists and nail artists so I only check in once a day and it's usually quick. That said if I didn't have crafts, food and nails to post I probably wouldn't have them either
