Probably with the amount of money that kids parents pay to the school it seems reasonable that laundry is included. It's not just the rich kids that don't do their own laundry. My mom did my laundry until I left for college and she put it away for me. And now my husband's job is doing the laundry. Guess I'm spoiled! :) ;)
I saw an episode years ago on men in Italy living at home well into their 30s. TheIr benefits of living with mom - free meals and mom doing their laundry.

Hey, not a bad deal! ;) That aside, my guess is that the men probably contribute in their own way -- maybe contribute to the grocery bill, or do repairs around the house, or car maintenance, or upkeep of the outdoor garden (if they have one).
