The school coach seems very understanding. It was very wrong for the club coach to switch schedules at this point since people had worked their schedules around the original. It almost feels that they want you to bend to them as opposed to the other way around. Kind of like in school when a teacher would think that their class was more important than any other. I know you mentioned about switching clubs before. This may be another reason to do that.

T’s school coach played travel soccer growing up and then in college. His son is on my indoor team, and also plays select.. he’s a birth year younger than T.
We haven’t played for school in a couple of years, I definitely don’t think that T’s last coach would have been this great about it. It’s nice that a coach understands!

I am so over our club at this point. So many issues the past 3 seasons. The first one was wonderful which makes it even more disappointing! This merry-go-round of coaches is not helping!! Next year gets a lot more serious as we will most likely qualify for the Premier League, and then it just gets more serious from there, with 13U being the big stage. I just want a coach and team to stick together and keep improving- TOGETHER. Our new coach was thrown in at the last minute. Who knows what will happen next year.

Another parent reached out to me to ask if T would switch clubs next year with her son, if she can convince him. I would LOVE if we could convince our core 4 to leave for somewhere else. I don’t think any of the 4 will leave without at least a few of the others.

FC Cincinnati is also doing a youth academy, NO COST to families at all. The MLS is on a big push for all teams to do this.

It doesn’t start til 14U, and I’m sure every club kid in a 100 mile radius will be trying out.

Honestly, I doubt T will try out for it once he is old enough. Baseball is too important to him. My hope is that he will be able to keep improving in each and play both in high school, if he wants to...and until then he can continue with all of the other sports in grade school as well- school golf starts next year too (5th grade). I do not want soccer to be his entire life.

hmmmm I had a hotdog on the way out of Costco... where I ran thru like a wild woman at lunch!

Why does everyone walk so slow in front of you when you are in a hurry and only have an hour?

Try 30 minutes -- that was the break we got at my last job. Run to cafeteria, get food, wait in lines at registers, walk around and around trying to find an empty seat somewhere, eat for 5-7 minutes, and then run back to office. Yup, in all -- 30 minutes. Not exactly healthy, considering it was that a HOSPITAL set the lunch time! :banghead:

Out latest drama-

T’s select soccer coach has now moved practice AGAIN. This time to an entirely different day!! I’ve never heard of this before, and was not happy at all. The new day/time is in direct conflict with his school team.. he already can’t attend one practice per week with school due to conflict, now this would put him at 0 practices with school.

I plan our schedule around his club, practice days are made in July...then I work around accordingly.

So, I told him that he will have to quit his school team, which goes against everything I stand for., but we don’t have a choice.

I emailed the coach to let him know what was going on, and to ask if T can still play this weekend. (He did attend practice this week)

My email when I figured out that it could not be worked around-

I’m so grateful that his school coach is being so amazing about this!!

We’ll see how the boys vote. I want to be fair to everyone and will talk to T, we have to accept and understand whichever way they choose.

Not sure who is a NCAA football fan, or an ice cream fan... but there’s major football/ice cream drama in my city, and I’m cracking up.
Synopsis- Cincinnati company released an OSU (the Buckeyes are in Columbus) flavor.. much to the outrage of UC fans. The Bearcats’ post caused me to literally laugh out loud.

@ajrwdwgirl , I think you said that you enjoy Graeters ice cream.. Half of Cincy is now boycotting. 😂😂

That is a wide variety of music styles there. Which Beatles era though? The early stuff or what I call the druggy period.;)

He hasn’t heard the entire White Album which is one of my faves. Lately he’s been playing Hey Jude and Come Together the most..,And Imagine by John Lennon.

I have to add that he also plays the song “The Girl is Mine” often, PM/MJ duet.. and always says “this song is so funny, who would actually fight about a girl??? So weird.” 😂

I really like the song "What is Life?" by George Harrison. I didn't know MJ and PM sang another duet besides "Ebony and Ivory". Not the hugest MJ fan. I liked some of his songs and one of the first tapes I got was Thriller.
