We have them all over the house. They're fun. Except my brother used it to call me at work on Thursday...he was trying to get out of something and thought I could talk Mom around...uh, nope, doesn't work that way!

T hates that I can listen in on his room, and can also see the music he listens to as well as looks up.

I do still hate what amazon has become, in many ways.. I was mad when my sister purchased an echo for him.. but then I went out and bought two more. I have 1 in the basement and use it as an intercom if doing laundry and need T to bring something down, or ask a question.

I wish Apple would have had the idea first.

Yup. I think a few bad apples give millennials a bad name. For the most part, we're a hard working generation and I would say one of the kindest generations in a while, and I believe generation z takes the kindness even further. Oh, we also don't criticize gen z unless they start doing stupid teenager stuff like eat Tide pods. 🙄

I've had to deal with so much crap from the older generations, though. At my previous job, there were women there who were always ruder to people my age than anyone else. It was mostly the front desk personnel. One of my cousins was also working there and noticed the same thing. Sometimes it was rudeness, sometimes it was downright hostility.

Even today, my brother and I went to Hershey and did the water park. As we were waiting in line to grab the tubes for one slide, the women in front of me kept shooting us nasty looks for no reason. And then after we were in line, we had these ginormous double tubes. The one woman was carrying it and the other was walking beside her, unlike everyone else who had both people holding the tubes. She turned around to me and said, "Stop bumping into my tube." No please, nothing but a direct order. It couldn't have been more than a slight tap, which happens in line, and it wouldn't throw her off if her friend was actually at least helping her steady it. It was also probably just that my brother stepped too far accidentally. I gave her a look and ignored her. And then bumped it twice intentionally because I'm petty. I've had this kind of thing happen in WDW too. Annoying.

I've also met lovely baby boomers who would never act this way, so I try not to assume just because someone happens to be in a particular age group.

If it makes you feel better, every generation has gone thru something similar. Even my forgotten generation. ;)
Circle of life.

Well, we all must just get over it. Every generation is the one that is going to hell in a hand basket. Boomers were long haired, hippy, drug addled brains, no hygiene and the worst ever. We did alright for awhile, but, since our leadership, those deciding our fate and whatever freedoms we are allowed to have, are mostly all boomers, the long hair is gone, but we did turn out to be self centered, evil people. Maybe it was the drugs.

My children were GenX, I think. Either there wasn't much said about them that I recall other then the hell in a hand basket thing, they weren't tainted to much or I was to busy making a living that I just didn't pay attention. My only thought about millenniums is that they are not social beings. Yes, they gather in groups, but form a circle and stare at their phones. Text people that are standing next to them instead of speaking and have to be told over and over how foolish it is to be texting while driving. It worries me that anyone has to be told a basic common sense warning. Is that just a few "bad apples" or is it a normal progression of life. No one cared about how I felt about being bunched in with the “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out” generation and frankly neither did I. I knew what I was and what I stood for then and still do today. Nothing that was said about my generation at the time had any real conscious affect on me. Before long, all the Big M's will have their own next generation to label and disapprove of. Probably the "I Snapchat therefore I am" generation. It's the true cycle of life.

Ha! Great minds think alike :)

Oh lol! XD
The drama continues.

I just read this earlier!! Who needs a soap opera when you can follow the madness of Real Madrid. 🙄

T will be happy.

ETA, if Bale announced “Hey everyone, I apologize for my Spanish (or lack thereof). I have now hired a tutor to work with me on a daily basis.”
Would he stay?

Personally, I don’t think Spanish is the reason for Zizou having an issue with him, I’m honestly stumped on the reason!! I don’t understand it.

Hahaaa...!!!!! :hilarious:
Yep, I was big-time up on the news when we were raisin’ a family.
Ultimately, the world’s been goin’ to hell in a flamin’ handbasket since the beginning of time, (so, we all have that goin’ for us :hilarious:), and it’s still, somehow, here...!!! :geek:
Oh, I still care, and if something major comes up I’ll be on it like fat on my ol’ beeeeehind ;), but, beyond that, I just sit back, live my life, and try not to worry about it all.
I realized, back then, that me worrying about what was gonna’ happen never had any affect whatsoever on what actually happend...!!! :D;):)
I have since passed the torch to our kiddos, who seem to really keep up with it all...!!! :)
So, thanks to you, and them ;), for havin’ my back...!!! ;):)
Had to Google, but, according to this, our kiddos would actually be younger Millennials, as they were born in ‘91, ‘92, and ‘94...

Sorry to hear that about your hubs kiddos.
And yep, as I’ve posted before, every generation thinks the next one is gonna’ send the world to hell in a flamin’ handbasket soaked in the fuel of the time, but, after eons, it still hasn’t happened...yet...!!!!! :hilarious:;):)

Great minds, indeed...!!! ;)

Whats going on? First a few power outages, then the water breaking down, and now disney springs sections with no power?
Is someone sabotaging US theme parks? :O
40+ square miles of WDW. Amazingly very few hiccups overall with infrastructure given the vast amount of people on property and the very hot summer Wish my town had as few infrastructure issues as WDW an we are a drop in the bucket in square miles.

We're Amazon adicts around here. I pay for prime, I have the Prime visa, and my parents are getting addicted to it as well. Everything from cat food to clothing to electronics comes from Amazon. I have a Kindle, there's Echos everywhere...so much stuff comes from Amazon.

My dad said he was going to start charging me a $10 fee for every Amazon box delivered. I said, "Well fine, then I can change the account password so you can't use it." He backed down real quick on that one.😂

Apple has not been innovative since Steve Jobs died. It's like they're running out of ideas. They used to innovative. Now they're just behind.

Almost makes you wonder if you can drop the cable, go with a streaming service, drop them after a bunch of months and then go back to get the new subscriber option of the cable companies. We have Comcast too. Hate it. I wish it was just a la carte channels. We would maybe choose 5. Why can't they just offer the sports packages?
I saw an Xfinity ad on Facebook. I commented that we've had FiOS for ten years now and have no intention of ever coming back to Comcast because their service was so horrible. Then I had Facebook block their ads.

My gosh, I really am rather petty. 😂

What I hear when people talk sports.

This one totally cracks me up...!!!!! :hilarious:
I was very involved in baseball and soccer in my youth, as well as know enough about football, basketball, etc., to know the rules and, at minimum, basic strategies.
Post game interviews are always just so awkward, but, nonetheless funny to me...doesn’t matter what sport, if you’ve heard one, you’ve, essentially, heard them all...!!!!! :hilarious:
