When she was younger she learned it in school. But now at age 35 she falls into the saying: "If you don't use it, you lose it". She sends her children to a private Catholic School that stresses English learning. That is why the 7 yr old is superior to her mommy.

I Had 7 years of French as in my era the thing for districts to offer. My French is awful now as a kid it was excellent. How many times stateside does one speak French? I too fall into your category.

My kids were taught Spanish. Are they superior? I hold the value that single idenity would pronounce my children to being Superior to me their Mom. I am Catholic Educated. I can’t say that made me superior. There is so much more to being a good Mom and proclaiming a 7 year old Superior to their Mom at that age their seems to be more to your relationship with the mother, no?

I’m not following. Is it the Catholic religious education that makes a 7 year old superior to her mother? Is it that the child is more fluent at English at that age that makes her superior to her mother? I have really lost my ability to speak French over the years but I’ve never thought of myself as inferior because of it.

Context please. Superior is an odd word to delineate and judge between a young child and their mother. Could the 7 year old also in time loose the ability to speak English as an adult like her Mother and me also to speak French. Are you fluent in the recognized Indonesian language?

If my niece went to the Indonesian Public school the instruction would be in the native language called BAHASA. Her dad said that one school day each week would have prayer following Islam culture. The Catholic school chooses to teach in English so their students will be bilingual and have a brighter future down the road. Naturally there would be no instruction re. Islam. I hope my response was helpful.

Not really. Why is she superior to her own mother at age 7 in your judgement?

Glad you decided to skip Louisiana. Cool pic at JSC. I built a model of the space shuttle as a kid. I remember being in awe of it and for a brief time toyed with the idea of being an astronaut. We got to watch the maiden voyage of Columbia I think in elementary school. Enjoy the rest of your weekend with the family!

Your photos made me curious about the Circle of Life Festival at the Singapore Zoo. So, I Google'd the festival and there are many fun activities throughout the daytime and nightime -- games, activities, crafts , etc. What a nice place to enjoy with the family! :)
Your post had me check out The Circle of Life festival! It is actually based on the movie and does look like it had fun activities. Hope you got to enjoy some @SteveBrickNJ .

Thank you. That is an excellent observation on your part. We have been blessed by mostly dry weather. Never once did we have to change our plans because of rain. It's hardly rained at all :)
You have experienced no rain because we here in the Northeast have generously decided to take all the rain so that you could be blessed by good weather. 😉
