I didn't know they had Fast passes either! My goodness... I don't like roller coasters, and hubby can't do them anymore, so no point in us going... they don't have dark/slow rides like Disney.

I hate to go for just one night, but T just called and asked if we could please go to Cedar Point on Sunday, leave after work tomorrow.. I said “yes” then got online to book. 🤦‍♀️


How did you find such a price at Universal???

Yeah, I posted that one above..did you see the room? It’s a tiny motel room still a drive away. I have a hard time paying $270 for a motel to sleep for a few hours.

I’m checking hotels on the route. We wouldn’t arrive in Sandusky til at least 10:30pm anyway.. I’m thinking maybe stay somewhere along the way and drive the last hour in the morning. It’s only a little over a 4 hour drive according to google maps.

I really hate to go there and not go to the beach., but we only have 1 day.

That sounds like a good plan. We did the same thing on our last Florida trip, stayed someplace with decent reviews for not too much money with just over an hour drive into Orlando

@21stamps, my turn to complain about team practice schedules. Just got dd's cheer schedule for the fall. Wednesdays 5-8 which is not terrible. But Saturdays will be 9-1 pm. My dh is going to hate that! That is usually the day we try and do family stuff. I can hear the complaining already. They are also going to be a prep level 2 which I am ok with instead of full level 2. This lets them develop their level 2 skills and not get killed by other teams that already have those skills. You are probably wishing you had that schedule though I bet. You are used to Saturdays.

No, I wouldn’t be used to Saturday practices.. at least games are more justifiable!

Ugh, I’m sorry for you and her!!! That’s a horrible time for practice.. it’s the entire morning thru lunch time!!

Their regular rate for the last week of August using one of their promotions for a 6 person suite was $167. I got a Passholder rate since we paid for passes. Nonetheless, their regular discount is pretty darn nice.

The worst part is that competitions are generally always on Saturdays, which means that every Saturday through May will be taken. Practices are also mandatory because if one kid misses then there are groups that cannot practice stunts. Summer they are lenient. Like one kid who bases my dd in stunts will be gone for the next 2 weeks which means that she won't be able to practice any stunts. That girl bases her in every stunt. There are no alternates since it is a really small gym and many people left after the season. Cheer drama caused that. Sadly, the people that caused the drama stayed.🙄

Last week's I got sneakers for dh and James(again:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I swear I'm going to make him wear the boxes soon) for $30 a pair originally $75 each. If dh wants $75 sneaker and doesn't mind paying it that's his business he gets a couple of years out of his sneakers(I'll just pick on him until they wear out), if James does NO WAY ON EARTH that will happen the mom card will come out!
