I'm proud of certain things...like our veterans, etc. But I view pride kind of like respect...it's something that has to be earned, I'll be proud when we do something worth being proud of.
There's a number of threads about this -- one forum is all about using My Magic Plus, FastPass and Tiers, etc.
Here is also a link to N&R about the new tier system at DHS. Maybe this thread and the forum listed above might be helpful. I can't speak to any of this, because I haven't been to WDW since last year. It sounds fairly complicated and doesn't seem to allow for as many fastpasses to the major attractions as before. I wish they would have just left the older FastPass system in place, or just eliminated the entire fastpass concept entirely. The whole thing seems to stress out a lot of guests, so you're not alone.
Short Story: On August 29, Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster will be added to Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers as Tier 1 Fastpass+ selections. Star Tours stays a Tier 2. Smuggler's Run still set to open as a non-FP ride. I am unaware of any other changes...
Yep, so much stress expressed by either Guests who are currently planning trips, or those who have been there recently...what kinda’ “vacation” is that...?
I’ve posted before...
Our pup “Belly Crazy Cakes” gets twisted up over all 3, t-storms, fireworks, and vacuum, but, “Ranger Danger” is oblivious to all 3...he just looks at her like... “What the heck’s the problem?!”...!!!!!

I'm a veteran and currently am embarrassed by what is happening here in our country. I don't owe pride or respect to anything or anybody until they or it gives me reason to do so. When I enlisted in the service I took a vow to protect and defend the constitution. It seem like I am the only one that cares anymore.
Just checking in. Crazy busy weekend here. Youngest has stunt camp for 3 hours a day next few days and my 11 year old turns 12 tomorrow. Going to bake her cake at 4 am. Then I have 4 straight classes. We are hoping to go to linner tomorrow.

Wow, just wow.
That is Bravo Sierra and you know it. A lot of us give a about what everyone did for their part of all of it, and I don’t judge...every “war” or “advisors” intervention the same way. I’ve read, and learned, about enough of it to know the difference.
You always say how you think it rings hollow when we thank any of your generation for your service. Why...?!?!?!
We are, genuinely thanking you for your service during that time.
I get that it was all muddled-up and crazy,
time, but you did what you had to do at the time, and I was just young enough to hear about it on the nightly news.
I’m not embarrassed personally. I am embarrassed collectively as a nation. Today was the anniversary of journalists murdered for being the free press. Getting rid of them was a horrid vernacular for today, a day of mourning a tragedy or should have been. But on the world stage a big joke. Breaks my heart. I’m not proud. I hear people claiming pride me I find it sickening.
And, I, on the other had, am very proud to be from the good ol’ United States of America, and freely admit so, and have been as far back as I can remember...!!!!!!!
While some take pride in the USA treatment of babies, children and adults looking for asylum and the conditions they are being held in I am not among those. I can’t gloss over it and take pride. I am not proud of it. If it was my children or grandchildren I’d expect Americans to be humane. So no I am not proud. So to answer your question posed in above quote. These humans will teach our Babies of Today of what we should not be proud of. I am not neive to not believe some are proud of babies in cages and rally for it. I am not proud that my America is doing it to answer your question. We differ again.

No Sir. I come from a Military family. I too am embarrassed. My Dad saw combat in two wars. I had Grandparents that fled Europe after W1. Their road wasn’t easy but their babies were not taken. None were locked in cages. I am not proud. My Dad served in Korea in his second combat. I am glad he has passed on cause he would have been beyond upset with the USA falling in love with a N Korean dictator. He would not be proud of that. He fought for human rights.
A few pictures to show our Friday! It was a fun day! Now waiting for fireworks. Tomorrow we head home, but it is a red eye flight so we have most of the day to play.
I briefly read some of your posts. I will go back and look. Looked relaxing. Didn’t look like your family was stressed out by a Disney vacation.
I am getting antsy. Our big trip coming up. We were picking table service restaurants. Fun for us. Not stressful. What is ones families stress is others love and fun. Did you do a trip report?

Hawaii was actually more stressful than WDW. Packing in the days leading up was stressful just trying to remember stuff that I don't normally take to WDW. And then there was the much longer travel time, plus I wasn't using BWI, my preferred airport, I was using Washington Dulles...just a lot of stress all around. And then in Hawaii you have to be more conscious because it is a place where people live, not just a vacation destination, so there is crime. Some teenagers in Honolulu almost tried to steal my backpack, but my dad saw what was going on and chased them off. While it's good to be vigilant, you definitely don't have much of that going on in WDW, and there's so many cameras around that anyone trying it wouldn't get very far. And even in Anaheim, walking across the street alone at night, I felt totally safe.
WDW I don't find stressful at all. Sure, some trips are better than others, but none of them are ever not fun. Plus for me it's super familiar. I could navigate MK blindfolded practically. Though I doubt this would be a very good idea.
It was a good trip. Probably will post some pictures at least on here. IDK if I'll have time for a trip report. Work has been crazy and we have the bathroom renovations going on.
